We had no hot water and when we complained about that to the staff, they didn`t even apologize and just said that they can`t do anything about that. We were really disappointed that they even didn`t offer us a discount. The walls are like paper, we could hear everything. We were also not really sure about the bed as it was making strange noises. The hotel located in the middle of nowhere. There was a lot of insects in the restaurant and it was really uncomfortable.

Dear Kadi R,

first of all let me thank you for taking the opportunity to share the review of your stay at the Montaperti Hotel & SPA!

I am hugely concerned and disappointed that you did not have the overall experience that we are proud to provide the many Guests who choose to stay with us!

I am genuinely sorry that you experienced a delay with hot water, too bad in the late afternoon of the day of your arrival, we were advised by the maintenance department of the district of Casanova Pansarine – Asciano ( the village where we are, 12 km far away from Siena city centre ) of a sudden damage in the pipelines they were trying to solve! It did not depend on us and though we really couldn’t do anything about it, we made our best with our internal stock, so to deliver more than sufficient hot water to every room, informing all our Guests about that, speaking of which let me take the chance to thank all those Guests who understood our sincere concerning!

I'm also deeply sorry that the discomfort with the water affected negatively your entire holiday and all of your feedback, that is the reason why I really do hope that you will consider trying Montaperti Hotel & SPA again as I am very confident that we can provide you with the same experience and level of comfort that a majority of our Guests are very willing to attest to!

Please rest assured that this has been followed up with my Team and I would like to send you a separate private email to reinforce this.

I very much hope that I can persuade you to consider trying us once more.
Kindest regards,

Nico

Our family of four stayed at Montaperti Hotel the end of June. As we arrived, we were a bit shocked since we were not expecting it to look like a roadside motel, but soon our concerns were settled as we stepped into a modern, well kept locale. We were given a two story apartment which was exceptionally spacious and clean; on the bottom floor we found a sofa bed and a roll away bed, with the master bedroom (king size bed) on the top floor. Although we did not use it, the apartment did have a kitchenette (small fridge, stove top and microwave) with kitchenware. Only negatives were the fact that the free wifi did not work very well in the room, and the AC was only felt on the bottom floor of the apartment. The upper floor was not cooling fast enough so we opted to sleep with our windows open; we ended up really enjoying the calming scents and sounds that filtered in through our open windows. The pool area was very clean and, although not very large, it did not feel overly crowded since there was less than 10 guests in total (including ourselves) at the time we were there. Note that if you do not bring your own beach towels, the hotel provides them for a fee (I believe it was something like 3 euro per towel). There's a restaurant on site and although we did not eat dinner there, we did see many guests enjoying a meal in their outdoor patio. Breakfast was fresh, with sufficient variety, and very friendly staff. Siena is approximately a 15 minute drive from the hotel.

If in the area, we will definitely return! This is a great choice looking for a very comfortable accommodation in the Tuscan countryside with close proximity to Siena.

It's a nice hotel given its location. We had dinner at the restaurant beside the pool when we arrived. The service was horrible and slow. 4 extra plates of pasta came. And the pasta we ordered did not come. When we told the server, he said we ordered, 'our fault'. He was so rude!!!
Since we are on vacation, we just let it go.
In the morning when we had breakfast, it was the same server. It was 10:15 when I went. He kept pushing our group to leave. He then said in French to a lady and her husband that they can stay, just we had to leave!!!!!! He thought Chinese people can't understand French!!!! This guy totally ruined our mood!!!! Btw, we are paying 200£ per night.

This is a very nice hotel with very friendly staff. It is situated in a village outside Siena (about 8km) but there is nothing nearby. The structure is new with spacious rooms (there are different types of rooms) and very clean. There is a heated swimming pool and a good restaurant. For us the only negative aspect was the location as we could not go out for a walk after dinner but the hotel itself is very good.

We spent a week in their hotel in May of 2016. the staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had. The location was quite central to the areas we wanted to visit. Our room was recently renovated and very accommodating. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, a gym, and a pool. Beautiful location, great pizza in the small town and easy access. All in All a lovely place to spend some time.

Room tip: rooms farthest from the reception room are quieter. We were in room 210 and it was great.
