It has been no picnic escaping Hurricane Matthew. In fact, if it weren't for the hospitality of a few great places, this evacu-cation from the Savannah area would have been unbearable. I will share some of the good here and reserve the bad and ugly for another review (see my review on "Royal Inn & Suites - Douglasville" if interested! Pardon the intro for they will be similar!!).
I arrived in Douglasville, Georgia with my three children on Thursday, October 6, 2016. The trip was originally planned as an opportunity to spend some time with my significant other, who had been working in the area, over 280 miles away from home, for over two months. Due to emergency evacuations during the hurricane, the area became flooded with people.
Each time we tried to find food or entertainment, we were greeted with overcrowded restaurants and rude employees who'd had their own fill of floods of people seeking the same. Then we stumbled on Martin's. Not only did their google reviews show they were awesome, the drive-thru line wrapped around the building did as well.
The staff, the food and the hometown atmosphere were exceptional. From the moment we stepped up to order until we left, we enjoyed the experience. While there, we ordered a biscuit with sausage gravy each. After being disappointed with he same order from Waffle House take-out and Hardee's an exit up, we were delighted to enjoy it the right way... like grandma's but perfected!
We will definitely be returning to Martin's anytime we are in the area, and are only disappointed that our area doesn't have a Martin's Restaurant of our own.

This place isn't nice dinning but its good and quick. Employees are McDonald's equvalent but friendly. It's dirty and old but man the breakfast is good and greesy!!! Lunch isn't anything special.
