I’ve been here twice. Once with a large group, and we did family style dining, and once with a smaller group, ordering a la carte.
For a larger group, for the most part, family style is the way to go. They are a little heavy on the lesser popular sides (beets for example) and you have to pay extra for arguably the most popular side (Mac and Cheese). But we were celebrating a milestone birthday for a friend and prepared to pay to enjoy a very nice dinner. We were put in a private room, which was good because we tend to get loud and obnoxious as the wine flows. The cornbread is delicious and all the food is really good, as are the desserts.
We were sat on the enclosed porch on my second visit and it’s very lovely out there. Ordering a la carte on this visit didn’t seem to make it much more expensive than splitting a family style bill, but let’s be real here...this is an upscale place and not a run of the mill meat and three. You pay for what you get, and what you’re getting here is gourmet southern cooking.
The staff was nice and well informed on the menu, which is to be expected at a restaurant such as this one. They offer valet parking. One last thing; this restaurant is in a house, so its layout is unique and lends to the charm of this establishment.
