I can try to describe Mercier's Orchard for you, but truthfully you just HAVE to go and experince the sights and smells for yourself! The bakery has the most excellent, down-to-earth pastries and pies around. Aside from their food items they also have a nice array if gift items and things to see. DON'T miss the little working bee hive in the main gift shop entrance...our kids just loved watching yhe bees make fresh honey and we did too! Just go-- you'll love it!

Wide variety of apples, fried pies are to die for, huge choice of jams, jellies and marmalades -- you won't go home empty-handed.

Once a quaint "Old Fashioned" Orchard, Merciers has now grown into a "Mega Mall" Orchard.....That said it is STILL FUN, and so, retains some of it "down-homeyness". Pick your own in the Spring and Fall, (Berries/Apples), a deli, fruit tastings, ciders, candies, and specialty items, there is something for everyone...
Be aware, the "Famous Fried Pies" are only OK, made on site, (but from pie fillings) that taste the same as any other, but nothing beats arriving on site, and smelling those little goodies being fried up hot and ready to eat!

Great bakery. Loved the apple cake. The peach cider is very good also. Bought the pink lady's. They will let you try any of the apples and sample the cider and other things too.
