Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place. One of the technologically coolest hotels that I've stayed in. They have a great breakfast, great parking and are close to everything downtown. Even though it isn't a full pool, my kids enjoyed a bit of time there in the evenings.

This hotel is probably best suited for the business traveller rather than a family vacation but we had a great stay non-the-less.

We stayed here when this hotel was new and were looking forward to returning. Our room had a musty smell and we found multiple wet areas in the carpeting outside the shower/bathroom. The AC system is a window/wall unit that is right by the bed and is very loud. My wife and I both woke up to an irritating rattling noise that turned out to be the mini fridge in the adjacent kitchen/living room. What was a nice, boutique hotel with limited frills is now an overpriced, poorly maintained hotel with limited frills. Too bad....it's almost the only place in the area and Hyatt seems to be ignoring it!

Room Tip: They advertise a pool, but it is 2 indoor spas.

We stayed here for three nights to attend a wedding. By far, the best customer service and attention to detail of any hotel that I have stayed at in a long time. Front desk personal recommended restaurants, helped the breakfast staff when they were busy, and constantly checked in with us to insure our expectations were being met. The complementary breakfast was terrific. Top notch quality and incredible selection. The hotel was full up so the only downside was that it was difficult to find a seat in the dinning area. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the elevator. It was somewhat noisy in our room at times.

I have stayed here twice and will be back for a third stay in a few weeks. The Hyatt Place concept is different and if you understand that, you will be very pleased with the staff and rooms here. John is awesome - hooked me up several times with dinner reservations where we were treated very special as well as transportation for large groups. Breakfast is great, room is spacious. So close to the beach its an easy walk or the hotel van will take you. All around great place!

We chose the hotel due to its proximity to family. It couldn't have been closer. Even if you don't have family, the location is centrally located - just over the bridge from Palm Beach, a block from Flagler and very close to the Convention center, City Place and Clematis. You could walk to all these places, but of course no one does. Unless you are exercising along the intercostal drivers check you out to see if you need some kind of help, like your car must have broken down or something. Anyway....
If you are a single traveler, the rooms would suit your needs. While they are quite large in square footage, the configuration and furnishings make them seem cramped. There is a large living area overtaken by and sectional sofa alongside a bar/office area. There is barely room to navigate around the bed in the sleeping area, and no neither of us are big people. Rooms have a large flat screen tv boasted about in all the marketing. Due to the rooms design, it's located on the wall in between bedroom and living room rendering it difficult to see in either area.
Most annoying in the room design was the lack of anyplace to stow your stuff. The closet is the size of a stall shower and hard to access. We ended up using the couch and bar for luggage. Maybe our room was small and others are better. But a King room typically is suitable for a couple.
The breakfast is efficient and varied and the lobby area was full of people on wireless or meeting. Parking is onsite but outrageously priced at $19 a day. We were told there was no charge by someone on the phone but told otherwise upon arrival. I still dont know whether we were charged since we left @ 6:00 am and havent successfully been able to get a detailed receipt.
In short, if you are a business traveler who does not plan to spend much time in the room, other than to work, it is a good choice. If you are a couple or family, I'd look elsewhere.
