We went on an airboat tour Saturday with Gator Bait Airboat Adventures. Capt. Bill was amazing. He pointed out by name, all the birdlife in the marshlands He showed us their nests and many had baby chicks trailing behind or feeding in the nests. We saw baby alligators, no more than a foot long in the sawgrass, with the mother hovering and guarding her offspring. She was ready to viciously defend them We saw countless alligators in which some he had nicknames for, such as Sandbar Sammy, about a 9 foot gator. He came out to sun on his own private sandbar. Another, was T-Rex, about an 11 foot gator, he was quite impressive. There were numerous gators, floating and laying on the banks all through the tour, some of these could only be pointed out by the trained eye. Capt. Bill is very knowledgeable about the marshlands of Florida. He has a great sense of humor and will keep laughing and educate you at the same time about the wildlife. This is a tour we highly recommend for the young and the old. .Be sure to bring your camera and sunscreen and any hat you can tie down or care to leave behind, as you will swiftly move across the water at times.. Go see Capt. Bill on Gator Bait. We will be looking forward to going back next year with friends.

Bill took us into the swamp and showed us wildlife allowing us to take some terrific photos. We saw alligators and so many birds. I got some great shots of ospreys and gators. He maneuvered the boat so I had multiple opportunities to photograph the wildlife..

I did this tour today. The environment was stunning. I just wish we could've taken a nice tour without the (really) loud engine and actually got to observe the wild life more. The tour guide was nice, and knowledgeable, but he actually drove the boat AT alligators. At one point, even if you don't care for wildlife but want to take a nice picture, there was a beautiful alligator sitting out of the water. We could've had such a nice gaze but instead Captain Scott just drove at it on purpose to terrify it in the water. The trip didn't seem to have the best interest of the wildlife or their habitat at all. Which is a shame as it is a shockingly beautiful eco system.

We are always very excited to see a new review. Every guest and every trip is of the utmost importance to us. Word of mouth, reviews and referrals are very important to us.
Our airboats are equipped with aviation style headsets to allow us to talk to each other and soften the engine noise. I have spoken to Capt. Scott directly and it was never his intention to disturb the alligator.
We sincerely apologize if you did not enjoy your experience.

Awesome ride! Lots to see! Very informative! The tour/airboat ride was as advertised. The captain/pilot was very knowledgeable of the wildlife and took care that all on board was able to see what one side couldn't. Hoping to take the airboat again before we leave for New England in a few weeks.
