This hotel was perfectly placed, in the beach and everything you need close by. The room was clean, spacious, and the staff was all friendly. The beach was not crowded by public use making it very relaxing and enjoyable. The games outside, fire pit sitting area, and the outdoor restaurant attached made it a great, like home experience. We will definitely be back!

Great location. Little older resort but very clean and friendly. We arrived early and our room was ready. Had 2 heated pools and Waves and Sloppy Joe’s restaurants in resort. Easy walk to shopping and other restaurants just across the street. Will definitely come back!

My wife and I checked into the Bilmar Beach Resort for two nights during the last week of April. We were greeted by Shauna at the front desk and she was able to check us in early to our room. She also gave some recommendations for a few restaurants on the area. Just FYI...there is $30 per night amenity fee charged when you check in...I believe this is on par with any other resort and included a number of things...Wi-Fi, beach chairs, fire pits, Adirondack chairs, pool and beach towels...the room clean and even included a little kitchenette with a coffee pot, mini fridge, cook top and dishes. There is also a Sloppy Joe's on site....drinks end to be on the expensive side, but very convenient. All in all, a great time and we will definitely be back!

Room tip: The noise level was not from the Bilmar Resort, but from a restaurant and bar across the street, the Ricky T's.

Mike, thank you for choosing the Bilmar for your recent Tampa Bay Beaches getaway. We are so glad we exceeded your expectations and look forward to your return. Next time I hope you can also utilize the bicycles and kayak usage included with the amenity fee. So many of our guests enjoy the value of so many amenities included. Clyde Smith - General Manager

We can't say that there was anything wrong with this place, per se. It is your average 3 star beach hotel. The room was adequate - clean enough, comfortable enough. The staff was good. The pool was okay. Nothing stood out as bad, but there was nothing that stood out as exceptional...EXCEPT the restaurant, Sloppy Joes. We had the firecracker shrimp and the grouper sandwich. We'd probably stay somewhere else but drive to Sloppy Joes for the food. Be advised that the walk from the hotel to the beach is a looooong one. We were on the fourth floor and could barely see or hear the water. Parking can be tight, and while there is parking across the road behind the Walgreens, pulling luggage across the street didn't set the tone well for us. The price may have been a bit cheaper than other places, but we would spend more money to stay at St. Pete.

Maryann, I regret your visit did not exceed your expectations as is our goal. As is evident in so many other reviews our guests generally enjoy the many amenities such as two pools, fire pits with plenty of beach chairs, bicycles, kayaks and more. I am glad you enjoyed Sloppy Joe's on the Beach. I apologize you had to use the overflow parking and did not have the opportunity to allow a staff member to assist with luggage. We have people available 24 hours a day to help unload so you can simply park and use the lighted crosswalk to cross Gulf Blvd. I do hope you consider giving us another opportunity in the future to improve your impression.
Sincerely, Clyde Smith - General Manager

Our stay at Bilmar was fantastic...the room...the hospitality...the accommodations...the pool...the beach...but mostly Heather! Heather took every possible opportunity to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. She's absolutely amazing
