My wife and I had dinner here on a recent Sat. We had made a reservation for 5:30 and even though we were held up in traffic, Susanne had our table when we arrived. She even called to see if we were lost and needed directions.
The dining room is charming in a French Bistro style with lots of vintage photos of both Paris and Budapest ( A city we have visited and loved). Susanne is one of the owners and runs the front of the house. Her asistant is a very pleasant young Frenchman who in formed us that he would be here for us and he was throughout the meal. After discussing the specials and some of the menu with Susanne we made our decisions: Escargot and a wonderful Hungarian crepe as appetizers and Weiner schnitzel and Veal papricash for the mains. All of the dishes were great. Desserts were a delightfully light Ile Flotant and a special creation of Susanne's, Charlotte Creme Brulee, which was sublime.

We visited Paris to Budapest Restaurant for dinner. We found the service to be warm and crisp. Our orders were taken quickly; our Caesar salads and wine were presented in a timely, but not rushed manner. The food was perfect. We ordered one entree of Chicken Paprika with dumplings, and one special - Beef Tournedos with red cabbage and roasted potatoes. My wife and I were very pleased with both selections. The steak was both tender and flavorful, dressed with bacon and mushrooms. Dessert was Chocolate Delight, a light chocolate pudding over ladyfinger pastries. homemade by the owner. The waitress checked with us at least twice to insure that everything was good. The owner visited the table twice to be sure that we were enjoying our meal. This is definitely a return dining place for us, as we live in Sarasota. Good food, good prices, attentive service..

We were seated and wine order taken. Put in the rest of our order........and waited,
and waited, and waited........finally a woman came over and asked if we would like
out desserts .....we said we would prefer to get our main courses........total time
waiting......over 1 hour plus from wine to final delivery of main course. Frustrating....
to put it mildly. Only 2 people waiting on tables..........

This owner operated restaurant is right in the middle of Gulf Gate, hidden among the nightclubs and bakeries. We were leery at first, but the owner invited us in. What we found was a fabulous culinary experience. For dinner there are two prix fix price points. $25 and $35 for a full three course meal. I ordered the chicken paprikash and my friend the beef bourginoun. Both were superb, as were the soups and deserts.
