“Great View's at Condo C 44 overrides interior flaws”

My husband and I along with our daughter and a friend stayed at this condo for a week. There is only 1 bathroom so it may be better for just a couple only. The 360° view off rooftop deck is fabulous to enjoy early morning or to watch a sunset. There is a screened in Lanai porch off the living room and master bedroom. The picture of a desk area shown is NOT in this unit. There is a shared clubhouse computer which you can use to print off your boarding passes. There are maintenance issues with the unit....burned out lightbulbs on dresser in bedroom and rusted circular stairway to roof (yikes!). Mattress in master is a "pillowtop" so is VERY SOFT and not good if you have back issues. I had to sleep on the floor part of the time. Pull out couch mattress also not comfortable. Discolored carpet by slider door in master bedroom caused by water damage? Broken toilet seat and scratched / peeled shower door in bathroom.

As a property manager for privately owned vacation rental properties we strive to respond to all issues involving guests or the units they reside in as quickly and efficiently as possible. These units being privately owned are all furnished and decorated by the unit owner and reflect their decorating tastes and preferences.

When notified of this review for Pointe Santo C44 we immediately checked to see what if any issues were reported by the guest and then I personally went to the unit to verify that the issues reported were valid and if so to rectify them. The issues reported were

1. Photo of the desk and computer on-line being missing – accurate, as the unit owner removed them two weeks earlier and did not report it to management so that the photo could be removed from the web site. That has now been done
2. Burnt out light bulbs – not reported by guest but have now been replaced.
3. Rusted circular stairway to roof deck – not valid. Absolutely zero rust. There was some minor paint peeling on the railing which has now been repainted.
4. Master bedroom bed being “Very Soft” – Not valid – This is a new Pillowtop mattress and is in almost new condition. The guest did call and report it and we went immediately to the unit to investigate. Renter wanted the mattress replaced which was not an option as it was a new mattress with zero previous complaints. This mattress is the private unit owner’s preference and was not in need of replacing. This was not what the renter wanted to hear hence the bad review. Most travelers know if they have back issues and require particular bed hardness and request such when making a reservation. No request of that nature was made when this reservation was made.
5. Broken toilet seat and scratched/peeled shower door in the bathroom were not reported but have been repaired or replaced.

It is extremely important to us that our guests have a very pleasant vacation experience. If there are issues that we have any control over we rectify them immediately. Occasionally such as with a bed being too hard or too soft there is not much we can do about it unless the mattress is old or in disrepair. In this case it was almost new and the private unit owners preference and there was not anything we could do to change it. We are certainly sorry the bed was not as comfortable as the guest would have liked however it was not something we could change for her.
