Our first stop in St Pete's is Sandbar Bills. Mouthwatering cheeseburgers are a great way to start our beach vacation. Great service and great drinks to go along with the food. Friendly atmosphere.
We have stayed at the Bonaire for the last 38 years, and each year it is so fun to see the same families and renew friendships. The rooms are clean, spacious, updated and reasonably priced.
Can't wait for July to come each year.

The Bon Aire is a kick-back to times past where families could enjoy a beachfront retreat without being gobbled up in a massive, impersonal facility. We stayed in room 211, which overlooks the beach with a shared breezeway to several rooms. This one bedroom apartment-styled unit offers a full-sized refrigerator and small kitchen as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower. The views from both the living room and bedroom are stunning. Not all rooms are beach front, but are just a walk down the hall from all that St. Pete Beach has to offer. St. Pete Beach is a world-class beach and the Bon Aire capitalizes on this by having a beachfront tiki bar, lounge chairs and many other amenities. It has been updated with tropical decor to help with that feeling of truly being in paradise. Excellent dining options are within walking distance, so once you've parked your car you are all set for a true beach escape. Definitely worth considering when visiting this area and, as locals, we will likely return, too.

Room Tip: Room 211 is Beachfront Yet Quiet

We enjoyed a lovely week here. The rooms are clean and spacious and it was great having a kitchen to do some of our own cooking. The beach is lovely and the hotel is close to shopping. There is a bus stop within a minutes walk that will talk you along Gulf Boulevard. I've already booked to go back :-D

This was a great, relaxing getaway. Sort of a mom and pop place. If you can get a room by the pool, that's a bonus. Though there were quite a few guests, it was generally quiet. You can step right out to the beach. There are nice lounge chairs on the beach and around the pool. There is a tiki bar over by the pool and they have a good menu though we did not eat there, but the melon caladas are to die for. Yummy! The room was very clean and there was plenty of super friendly staff. Walgreens is right across the street. There is a Publix grocery and a liquor store down the street within walking distance. We ate at both the Mexican restaurant and Italian/Seafood restaurant right across the street. Both were very good. We flew down so took a softsided cooler as a carry on. It came in handy on the beach and at the pool. When we left we called Bats Taxi in St Pete. Cheaper than our ride from the airport and you can also reserve them online to pick you up at the airport and get that cheaper $39 rate. Will definitely go back to the Bon Aire again!

We love the Bon Aire. We have been coming here for 10 years. It is family owned and you see them everyday working hard to keep there jem beautiful. The grounds are so pretty with plants and flowers all around. 2 pools. There are so many places to sit and relax if you want sun or shade they have you covered. This was our first stay with an aptarment type room. We loved it. It was just 2 of us but the extra room was perfect for one of us sleeping in and the other getting breakfast ready. Would like to thank the hard workers at the front desk. Roy on the ground crew was so friendly and went above and beyound to meet any need. Matt, Mark, Jenna, and another younger female bartender were the best. All the staff was so nice and always had a nice word to say. Very clean and enjoyed our stay. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Room Tip: 2nd floor views and less traffic
