The room was simple but very clean. The grounds were very pretty and well maintained. Conveniently located. Lounge chairs at the pools, deck by beach and on the beach. Beach towels were provided. The only negative was the wifi. It was incredibly slow. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I decided to go back to St Pete Beach for a visit. Looking for a place to Winter. Lived here for 33 years until work moved us to the North. We decided to stay at the Bon Aire Resort Motel where my Grandfather stayed in the 50s. They have done a nice job of updating this beach resort. The rooms are small but clean and nice. They are Darren in appointment but we were doing this on a lark and have been pleasantly surprised. The staff is accommodating and very personable The beach is magnificent and the beach bar is the hub of activity and a great place to enjoy the perfect sunsets. All in all it is a great surprise and for the price gets an A plus across the board. We would do it again tomorrow especially for the beach. Try it. Wonderful!

I have stayed here many times, the last time I stayed however, it seemed every single person around the pools and the bar were smoking! Annoying, you can't sit anywhere and not inhale second hand smoke! Another weird incident, the exterminator asked me if he could come in and spray for pests. Umm, no you cannot spray poison around my luggage and clothing. Its carpet too, which means the carpets are full of pesticide. Yes, its Florida, and you have to take care of those things, but do it when the room is not occupied. Gross carpeting in Florida!

We have stayed here numerous times and the location is ideal. Starting to show its age and could use a facelift. Good beach bar and pools are ok. Parking can be challenging when the hotel is at capacity.

Thankfully I trusted Tripadvisor, or we would have driven right past this non-descript building that hides beautiful, lush landscaping that leads to a magnificent, deep white sand beach that is only steps away from any door. We were in an updated, one bedroom apartment (#133) that had a nice size living room, and a well eqipped kitchen that allowed us to enjoy a cooked breakfast each morning. Although, the bedroom(2 comfortable queens) and bathroom were small, both were sufficient for a family of 4 (2 grown sons and and still enough room). A handy extra sink in the hall was helpful. The owners and staff obviously take great pride in maintaining this wonderful motel- EVERYONE was friendly, smiling and helpful, especially the housekeepers and the two gentlemen who constantly hustled around the property sweeping, emptying trash and straightening up chairs. Two helpful items management might consider would be to install towel racks, not hooks, on the backs on the bath and bedroom doors, and include a small broom and dustpan for quickly sweeping up sand. We were thrilled to discover adequate beach chairs in the sun AND shade, a volleyball net, two small pools, two sets of corn hole and 4 shuffleboards- we loved learning to play this simple and competitive game. The bar and grill food and drinks are great and reasonablly priced and we agreed with other reviews that you won't find better burgers or nachos. The Bon Aire made our first trip to the gulf coast perfect and memorable and I cannot imagine that we could have been happier anywhere else on the beach. Many thanks to the owners and staff for making this place so great- I hope you are around another 50 years!
