My husband and I went in mid February and it was delightful. Marie and Dave could not be more pleasant or helpful. All of our needs were met-in room massage ordered, and wonderful breakfasts. The Inn is darling and we enjoyed the porch. We walked to town in 2 minutes. The 7:30 am coffee availability was terrific. We will be back several times. Love Saint Augustine and Penny Farthing!

The hosts are so nice and helpful !! They greet and will show you around and treat you with tender love and care. The place is like a doll house and my wife love it! Just remember its an old house and it has a very antique feeling to it. If you can appreciate this then you will love it. The breakfast was awesome and your well attended. My wife and I my shall return when visiting Saint Agustine. I recommend it :)

I realize that selecting a B&B blind off a web site is risky, but did it anyway. Lucky me that I chose the Penny Farthing Inn. A quaint place in the middle of beautiful St. Augustine. The owners and staff were amazing, and the Inn is perfect! Clean, comfortable, and inviting. The Victorian decor was perfect, one does not feel like they are in something set up to look like the Victorian Era; it actually brings that era to life. The Inn is within walking distance from just about everything that makes the city a memorable experience. I will definitely be going back!!!

Located a brief walk from the main historic campus buildings of Flagler College and right down the street from the Lightner Museum in the old classic Alcazar Hotel (now also St. Augustine's city hall), the Penny Farthing Inn is a lovely, rambling Victorian B & B located a short walk from many of the major attractions in downtown St. Augustine.

We stayed in the Victoria bedroom in the original portion of the main house. The room was spacious, equipped with a waiting decanter of sherry, a private balcony complete with hammock and newly-installed ceiling fan overlooking the quiet side-street on which the inn is situated. The corner room was suffused with plenty of natural light from both the porch and alcove windows and the bed was very comfortable.

Our hostess, Marie, made us very welcome and we enjoyed not only a nourishing and tasty breakfast but also the afternoon wine and sweets/savouries that were offered as part of the amenities. The location is perfect for exploring the many offerings shopping along St. George Street and the Castillo de San Marco National Monument, the oldest surviving fortress in the oldest European settlement in North America. It is a short dribble to the St. Augustine beaches and to the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum, one of the more famous and worthwhile attractions in the area.

We highly recommend the Penny Farthing to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in this former winter playground of the rich and elite of America's Gilded Age.

What a wonderful review, you should write a novel on St Augustine, were very happy we met all your expectations. The Victoria room is very popular, in fact we just had a group of film makers last week, producing a Spanish romantic video in the Victoria room and the parlor. We will be posting it on our web site in a few weeks, we really enjoyed spending time with you both. The inn is the perfect location for all the Historical museums, and walking down town set in a quite location, and onsite parking which is very important for guests. Looking forward to seeing you again Marie Dave and Staff

If you're looking for sleek and modern, then this is not the place for you. It reminded us of a slightly less than overstuffed Victorian parlour, warm, cosy and comfortable. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly. All the extras were included. There were robes and even a decanter of sherry in the room. Afternoon refreshments were laid on, with home bakes and nibbles (lovely crab pate). Even wine was included. Then, of course, there’s the breakfast. Not your usual fry-up, but something rather more special. Thoroughly recommended.
