My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. This historic inn is across from a park and marina, with a lovely front porch that guests make full use of for breakfast, lounging or the evening entertainment, which was well-performed and just right for our senior age group. Unfortunately, the inn faces on the main street through town, a busy and sometimes noisy thoroughfare.
Our first 2 nights in a single Queen bed room (we booked last-minute and it was the only room left) was long on charm but very small and lacked either microwave or frig, closet was tiny, really only suitable for a single. But the last night we moved to a suite that was extremely comfortable, 2 spacious, quiet rooms with all the amenities, and at $149/night in-season, a true value. The staff was very helpful and for continental breakfast they offered homemade yogurt with fresh berries, ham and cheese with breads, hard-boiled eggs, juice and coffee. Port St. Joe is much smaller and less touristed than Apalachicola, but has a couple of good restaurants and at least a block of cute shops. We very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: If steps are an issue, be aware 2nd floor rooms are up a flight of stairs, no elevator.

I had read an article about discovering Port St. Joe, then researched TA for things to do and places to stay.
The Port Inn was rated well, and when I called before booking, the staff members I spoke with were very helpful and friendly.

We ended up staying two nights in a very comfortable room that looked out toward the waterfront of St. Joseph Bay.

Had all we needed for a really enjoyable stay. Very clean room, enough space, friendly staff, and a tasty continental breakfast provided.
Even got treated to Fat Tuesday goodies, such as beignets, King Cake and more.

We were able to talk with the manager and then the owner while we were there; both were fun, informative and down to earth folks.

We’re planning to come back next year for a longer stay, so we can have a good time experiencing more of what they refer to as their “Forgotten Coast”.

Like this place!

We were there in Feb 2018.
good things; 24hr desk, private parking lot right behind Inn, clean, right in town of St Joe, nice bathroom, private front porch for our room but not all rooms have this, free continental breakfast was good but a little limited, there is a bar attached to the Inn, restaurants within walking distance were good, nice big flat screen tv, appeared to be recently renovated, nice big towels, good shower/tub, robes provided, St Joe Bay right across street

not good; small room, on a busy street but it's a small town so not too much traffic-did not really bother us, no elevator

Our room was called a "bay view" room, you could see the bay but not very well even though the bay was right across the street with a little park between the street and the bay.

Would rate 5 stars if not for busy street and small room. I would probably go back if in St Joe again.

Room Tip: beware no elevator

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. When you are back in the area, ask about our larger rooms that have a separate living from the bedroom. They are really great for the extra space!

This is a quaint, cozy, boutique hotel in Port Saint Joe. The hotel sits in downtown and across from the bay. Rooms are very clean and bed is really soft. As with most boutique hotels the rooms are a little tight on space and there is no elevator. However, this hotel is a definite must see when in the area.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary in Port St. Joe and take in all the sites and history of the area! The accommodations were perfect, the staff very friendly and the local restaurants had delicious food! We had a room with a porch attached facing the bay water. It was very romantic to have a drink out on the porch and watch the beautiful sunset over the bay! Apalachicola is just a short drive away where we took in the local history stopping into the various shops and eating a dozen local raw oysters that were very delicious! We also visited St. George Island which is a very beautiful place!
