We visit every time we come to town. We went for dinner and expected a wait. We were a little taken aback when they quoted a two hour, 20 minute wait, but agreed to wait.
Later, we watched a bus of cheerleaders unload and I remarked, “they must have reservations, that it why the wait is so long”.
The restaurant has a prominently displayed sign that says “parties won’t be seated until all of the party has arrived”. It has been there for years.
After we had waited for an hour, they sat the cheer team, even though their entire party was not there, going against their own policy.
They then informed us that they were shutting down all of the upstairs part of the restaurant to accommodate two more parties that were on their way, that had called and requested tables, leaving the rest of the diners waiting even longer. They offered no apologies and when questioned about going against their own long standing policy, they had no response.
We left and warned lots of potential customers on our way out. Poor way of running a business and treating regular customers.
