We visit every time we come to town. We went for dinner and expected a wait. We were a little taken aback when they quoted a two hour, 20 minute wait, but agreed to wait.
Later, we watched a bus of cheerleaders unload and I remarked, “they must have reservations, that it why the wait is so long”.
The restaurant has a prominently displayed sign that says “parties won’t be seated until all of the party has arrived”. It has been there for years.
After we had waited for an hour, they sat the cheer team, even though their entire party was not there, going against their own policy.
They then informed us that they were shutting down all of the upstairs part of the restaurant to accommodate two more parties that were on their way, that had called and requested tables, leaving the rest of the diners waiting even longer. They offered no apologies and when questioned about going against their own long standing policy, they had no response.
We left and warned lots of potential customers on our way out. Poor way of running a business and treating regular customers.

Best dinner of our spring break trip. While the menu might be overwhelming, it worth a few minutes to find what you want. So many options! The salad bar and fixins bar are so good, fresh and homemade! You'll be stuffed just with that then dinner comes. Anything you decide, you won't be disappointed. Service is fantastic! Call ahead for seating, busy place!

We've heard great things about Aunt Catfish's. We were a party of 11, and arrived at 4:30 on a Monday. There was an hour wait time to be seated. The salad bar was hit-or-miss. The big highlight on the salad bar was the cornbread. My boyfriend and I shared a Pick-3 Combination dish with salt-and-pepper fried catfish, classic fried catfish, and blue crab cakes, with a baked sweet potato side, the salad bar, a hush puppy, and a cinnamon roll. The catfish was good, not great. My boyfriend loved the crab cakes, but I wasn't a big fan. The sweet potato was huge, and very good with the cinnamon butter it came with. Amazing hush puppy. Delicious cinnamon roll. Overall, Aunt Catfish's was good, not great. I wouldn't wait an hour for it again.

A group of us went to Aunt Catfish and had a good experience despite just how busy it was on Easter Sunday.

We had about a 1 hour wait but since it was Easter, we expected it.

The buffet was excellent and I started with an omelette, (you load up what you want in the omelette in a bowl), and hand it to one of the two people working the griddle.

They will also make your French Toast or Pancakes here. There are 4 other self serve areas, 1 for desserts, 1 for fruits and salads, 1 for bacon, potatoes, sausage, etc., another with grits/oatmeal type foods. A carving station is also in this area with lamb, ham and turkey. The ham was just simply outstanding.

Coffee/Tea, water, etc. is delivered to your table by a Server.

Service was excellent, as busy as it was, the restaurant was clean as was the bathroom.

On this day, Aunt Catfish was a hit again.
