This was a perfect family vacation location near Pensacola. Just across the bridge in Perdido Key. We stayed 10 days in unit C-35 towards the back of the property. It was a two story cottage with two bedrooms and two en suite bathrooms. We found the location ideal as we were set a little away from the pool and bar, which offered live music in the weekend. And we could still walk to the pool in under a minute.
The resort was gated but outsiders could get access to the pool if they bought day passes. That didn't happen that much and the majority of the people at the pool were renting their cottage.
The cottage came furnished with everything you could want, including a fully equipped kitchen.
We spent a lot of time at the pool and the near by State Park - Perdido Key. Driving there - walking wasn't an option - took about a three minute car ride.
We just found out that as of December 2011 they removed the Tiki bar that was located under the thatched roof pavilion next to the pool and made it into a dedicated shaded area. We'll miss the drinks, snacks and pool side service, but it does mean that you can now bring any food and drink you want yourself the pool - which the Tiki bar management didn't allow.
