“Pleasant Afternoon Visit”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

Historic Pensacola Village is a collection of homes, a church, and other buildings which show the development of Pensacola through the centuries. Three of the major houses and the church require being on a guided tour, which has a duration of approximately 1 1/2 hours. The other buildings can be visited without a guide. Admission is inexpensive, and there is a AAA discount.

“Compact and easy to see”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

This site is very manageable because all of the buildings are within a few blocks of each other. You can explore some on your own, but the major houses and the church are locked, so you must go on a tour that is included the price of the ticket. The tour is about 90 minutes and offers extensive information about the history of the area as well as the individual properties.

“A walk through history”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Right in the heart of downtown Pensacola is this collection of old homes and commercial buildings which is run by the near-by university. It is very well-maintained and provides a glimpse of the history of this very old Florida city. The tours here are well worth taking.
