This was our first time renting a condo and it was an overall pleasant experience. The space was well decorated with a beautiful beach / ocean view through two large sliding glass doors. We had four adults and one child in our party and had no issues regarding space / sleeping arrangements. The room had been lightly cleaned prior to our arrival -- I believe we left it cleaner than we found it; but it was by no means dirty, just dusty & unkempt in some spots.
For the most part, the room was quiet -- there was no noise heard on either side of us; however, Friday and Saturday nights were a bit louder, especially from the room directly above and car noise from the street below. We did visit at the tail end of the summer season; I would assume it is louder during peak travel times.
The only other negative was the elevators, which wasn't so much a big deal as an annoyance. The room is on the 22nd floor -- during the last 3 days of our stay (Friday - Sunday), one of the two elevators in our building was out of service for some duration. It was functioning again on Sunday, but during the checkout period, wait times were up to 20-30 minutes. Also, the cleaning/service folks use the same elevators as the guests, so they are also trying to mobilize as people are leaving the rooms, adding more people to the mix.
The beach outside of the resort was beautiful, and the pools were well maintained. The only issue was, during our stay at least, the waves were "red flagged" every day. Our four-year-old wanted to go in the water more, but the forces were too strong. During the times that we did venture in, I had to maintain control of her at all times, despite several flotation devices. Trying to venture back to the beach resulted in us getting knocked down several times. Were she older and more experienced with the water, it would have been a non-issue. And she enjoyed swimming in several of the pools on the facility as well.
Being our first time to Panama City Beach, we were pleased with the location of the resort. We were able to visit many places we'd scouted out ahead of time, and it only took 10-15 minutes at most to reach them. Of course, traffic was heavier on Friday evening through Sunday, so travel times were longer during those days, but not by much.
