The Creek is unlike any golf course in Florida. This Rees Jones designed course is located on 800 acres of pine forest and intracoastal waterway canals. There will never be a house built on this land so that each round is also a superb nature walk through awesome scenery with abundant wild life on this Audobon Certified course. No less than Fred Funk termed this course the best Rees Jones course he has ever played - high praise for the Creek which annually hosts the US Open qualifier. 7 sets of tees provide for the perfect setup and challenge for any golfer. The Creek is one of Hammock Dune's 2 great courses so find a way to hook up with a member and get an invitation to play. It may be the most special round you ever experience.

The Creek Course at Hammock Dunes is really something special. This jewel is tucked away on 600 acres of beautiful forest, creek and marsh in the town of Palm Coast in northeast Florida, about half an hour south of St. Augustine and half an hour north of Daytona Beach. It is one of two courses of the Hammock Dunes Club. It has been ranked as one of the top courses in Florida and has traditionally been the site of the US Open regional qualifying tournament.

Aside from the superb play, the distinguishing characteristic of this course is the sense of privacy and being at one with nature. There are no homes on this course and it is Audubon-certified.

The course has seven different tees, so it can play as long a yardage as you like. From the back tees, it is a monster and from the front tees it still has plenty of challenge. The course gives three separate experiences: pine forest, tropical hardwoods and creek/marsh and each experience is more beautiful than the last. My personal favorite is the back nine, with long carries, great water views and long causeways over the marsh. Gorgeous.

The course is immaculately-maintained, reflecting the fact that it is private and, for the most part, "members-only", but if you get a chance to play this course as a guest or if you can get on through your club's golf pro, don't miss it!
