My home is in Palm Beach, I'm a local. New restaurant with a long history opens on a prime corner, with nice seating. We showed up around 5 pm on a Saturday, figure we would sit outside and enjoy a cocktail and appetizers before we would order dinner.

Our server told us the chef will only allow each table to order once per seating.

Not to sound snotty, but I have lived in Paris, London, NYC and Chicago... unless you are doing a chef's menu I literally in 50 years of eating in some of the finest restaurants in the world, I never heard of such a thing!

We decided to just have a drink and get appetizers, and move on to somewhere a little more customer oriented.

The food and cocktails were not good, not terrible, but the amount of sugar and salt across the food and beverages ordered, we could have been at a mediocre mall chain.

Server was sloppy and unprofessional.

Terrible experience, and btw Oysters at every other raw bar in PB are cheaper and better.

Last minute girls getaway means last minute reservations. We were able to get a reservation at Maven on open table. We were skeptical because it was a Saturday night, the reservation was a little on the early side but it was still last minute. The restaurant is huge which help explains the availability and we were seated in the large palm filled dinning room. Initially we were one of only a few tables but to our relief the place filled up quickly. We had a great night, food, service and ambiance were wonderful. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

So new restaurant bar in Palm Beach - very competitive locale just blocks from the best place in town. First - the place was very slow - almost no one there - but reception was "do you have a reservation?" Funny. Next, the bar stools are the most uncomfortable ones ever, added to the fact the bar was very short leaving your knees pressed against the wood underneath. Service was polite, but lackluster. The chef must really love vinegar as it was the key ingredient in all dressings, and sauces. Scallops came under cooked, I have had better Caesar salads at a fast food restaurant. Gnocchi app was adequate, but nothing special. The bartender threw in a free glass of wine to make up for the under cooked scallops, but even the switch out of the Caesar to the Kale salad resulted in the beginning, middle, and ending taste in tart vinegar. Server was apologetic, but incomparable to their close competitors. With so many other good places to go, why bother to return?

A nice looking restaurant, especially if you can sit outside. Easy to park right outside. The service was quick and friendly and the food prepared well. But the portions? $26 for lobster salad with about 3 oz of lobster was ridiculous.

Maven continues and expands on the unique and delicious gastronomic adventures of the Galley Beach Restaurant of Nantucket. The same ownership, management and executive chef have delivered a delightful new, beautiful and delicious format to Palm Beach.
The diversified menu choices, excellent wine selections, and delicious preparation made our dining experience very memorable. A return to Maven is high on our list for future dining.
