Good stay. Clean rooms, nice people. Be wary of the free Universal Studios shuttle. Even though the desk will sell you on the idea that you are 5 minutes away from Universal it will take you an hour to get there and 45 minutes to get back. Too long of a ride to spend your precious vacation time on.

Stayed for the second time 21 November - 5 December 2011 (first visit was same period in 2010) - Newly refurbished to a very high standard this is the best value for money hotel I've stayed in over the 25 years I've been visiting Orlando. The excellent buffet breakfast, extremely comfortable bed and very high standards of cleanliness throughout are only surpassed by the fantastic staff; always smiling and more than willing to help, whatever your needs. The International Drive location is ideal for a number of restaurants & bars (can recommend Unos Chicago Grill, Cheers Bar and Chilis), Wet'n'Wild, outlet shopping malls and about a mile from Universal theme parks & City Walk. There are IRide tolley stops (both ways) directly outside the front door which adds to the convenience. I know this area very well and admit that the facilities over the years have been badly hit by the recession but what remains is still worth visiting and you can start off on the right foot by staying at the Rosen Inn! We'll be back in March 2013.

We stayed here from Nov 17th to Dec 1st 2011 and found the hotel to be very nice. We requested a high floor so we got a decent view and they put us on floor 9, right at the top.

Our room had 2 large beds, a large Tv, a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker (but no kettle). The bathroom is tiny, with the sink outside it. Shower is quite powerful. Our rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day without fail. Room also had wi-fi which worked fine even though we were on the top floor.

The hotel includes free transfers to universal and sea world which leave 3 times in a morning and return 3 times in an evening. They can organise a transfer to Disney and back at a cost of $16 per person. (About £10).

The bar is quite expensive by English standards. There is a small shop which sells cereal, milk, drinks and snacks and a few food items but there's a walgreens 10mins north of the hotel which is a large supermarket and cheap too!

There is a restaurant in the hotel for buffet all you can eat breakfast, which worked out about $15 for 2 of us, which included tip. There's a ponderosa over the road which wasn't very nice, but there's a Sizzlers just up the road which is brilliant for breakfast and for an evening meal too.

There is another restaurant in the hotel for evening meals which is a japenese steakhouse though we didn't go there.

All the staff are friendly and happy to help and the room was nice and clean with a good air con!

Room Tip: We were in 908, clean and half decent view.

My husband and I stayed there from 10th nov 2011 to 21st nov 2011.
I had read quite a lot of mixed reviews about this hotel, i started to panic thinking omg what have I booked. All i could do was make the most of it expecting the worst, this was not going to ruin my holiday, that we have saved a long time for.
First impressions all looks ok........ there was a small queue at check in, nothing wrong with that, it was cleared very quickly, nice smiley and appologetic staff for the small wait. Booked in and off to the room 415.
Room, bathroom, beds, all clean, and I must say was cleaned every single day and always looked like it did on the first day, fresh towels daily as well.
On the first night we couldnt get the tv to work, i called reception and within 10 minutes someone was at the door and fixed right away... ok it was a loose plug...lol....
All the staff were very friendly they always greeted you with a hello and a smile and i mean all staff. Even the guests were friendly and thats nice as well.
the facilites we used were the pool, great for a rest day, plenty seats and towels, the laundry room, very handy,in the room we made use of the safe, fridge and micro wave, all in good working order no issues with them.
Every day we had breakfast in the hotel, it was a buffet style, im not normally a fan of buffet but this was really good, great value for money, great choice, and very attentative staff, daily we were served by Joan, she remembered what you like every day, and louie he cleared the tables and always had a smile.
our location was great very handy for everything we wanted to do, and very close to the parks and shopping.
With regards to other reviews we did not find any uninvited guests (beasties), we enjoyed our stay it excedeed our expectation, staff were great, nothing negative to stay and we are actually in the process of booking for another stay their but this time with the grandchildren.
one more thing we stayed there at a very busy time as there was a football game on at the weekend and the whole place was very busy. there was some noise nothing major and that didnt interfere with our stay.
yes we will be back
thanks xxx

We stayed here from 1st October - 14th 2011, when we booked this was a 2.5 star hotel but before travelling it got raised to a 3 star.
plus points: The staff at reception were lovely, new towels and bed sheets everyday and room was reasonably clean, walkable to universal studios, I-ride stop right outside front door, no resort fee.
Cons: strange little ant like bugs on our bedside dresser that seemed to live there in a swarm, loud due to I4 out the back and gap under room door let in corridor noises, pizza flyers under the door all the time, expensive bar, loud air con unit and when we went to put it on heat setting to dry some clothes it set off fire alarm.

Over all the hotel was fine, it was just a base for us as we went out all day.

BUT I would not stay here again due to feeling quite unsafe walking around this end of I drive at night. We saw on the news one morning that a certain hotel two doors away had an armed robbery in reception. This is of course not the hotels fault but put me off further visits.

Room Tip: I would say make sure your not facing the I4
