Each capsule weighs 6,600 pounds, that’s about the same weight as an Indian Elephant or Baby Blue Whale. The glass covering the capsules was crafted in Turkey, and then each capsule was assembled in Hungary. This area is surrounded by great restaurants and bars with live music. Great atmosphere to eat, have a few drinks and just chill while watching the Orlando Eye go around while changing colors. There is a nice area covered with turf where you can just kick back right on front of the Orlando eye. The ride itself its very slow and relaxing. Not a whole lot to see from the top, but one of those things you have to do to say you've done it . I believe they also offer champagne.

We visited the Orlando Eye on numerous occasions during our stay. The views are particularly beautiful at nighttime, and the atmosphere is very chilled in the area. We didn’t actually ride the Eye as we were quite content viewing from below. However, in future, we would probably give one of the package offers a go. They seem to be relatively decent for the money involved.

It’s a cool experience. I wish the ride actually stopped for boarding. Could be a bit tough for older passengers.

Did this as part of my birthday and I wish it was something I skipped. We did it at night, where we could not see anything outside the glass room we were in because of the reflection from the lights inside. My parents went during the day, and they said there was nothing to see during the day anyway. This place is outside of Orlando, and all you can see is a hotel, undeveloped land, and the parking garage for the shopping area this place is at.

They take a picture of you before the ride in front of a green screen. After the ride, the staff did not come up to us to show us our pictures. I walked up to the counter because I was curious what the background was that they had for the picture. I waited a few minutes and the staff were giggling to each other not helping anyone as people left the ride. The whole area this ride is located is not worth it, very kitschy and nothing ever going on there.

If you are claustrophobic don’t do this! The little “carts” if you will have music and air conditioning so the air is moving inside but it’s still a little tight. Tickets were at discount $24, cause we had a Florida drivers license, but it is quite the site! At the end you get a complimentary coke so that was nice too.
