Where to start without writing a book.
Very spacious, furniture is just perfect how it's set up and comfortable.
Great lighting in all rooms.
Beautiful balcony view to see lake and sunset or just to put your feet.
Plenty of towels, (cooking well we didn't ) but lots of utensils to do so
I'm going to try and convince one of my sisters/ neice to come here
This was my husband and my second visit to Vista Cay (first time was in 2012) but first time staying in this particularly apartment. Spacious and clean, it has everything you need to make this place a home-from-home whilst in Orlando. This was important to us as we wanted the flexibility of eating in some of the time, which we did and the proximity to the Publix supermaket made this even easier for us. We also enjoyed (again) the access to the shared club house/pool/gym area, which we used almost every day (to help work off all the lovely food we were consuming!). The communal areas were always clean and tidy and most of the on site staff were friendly and helpful.
On arrival, the only thing we required some help with was the safe, which didn't seem to be working and the master shower, which smelt a little like 'drains' after being used. We called Geoff and he resolved the issues quickly and without issue. It meant we got a chance to meet him too and he helped make some useful recommendations, especially in obtaining tickets for the Orlando Cirque du Soleil, which we wished to see later on during our stay.
There is little that would improve this property other than perhaps double glazing, as the truck stop nearby can get a little noisy in the early part of mornings when it is being used. But the vista out onto the lake was fantastic and we all enjoyed our morning coffee or afternoon G&T's, out on the balcony, in the sunshine, trying to spot the resident crocodile (which we did on many occasion and who we called Bernie!) We even saw him catch a fish one morning, whilst walking up to the gym.
This apartment is well positioned for all the parks, which we visited frequently. Unlike in 2012, we made a special trip up to Busch Gardens, but compared with SeaWorld and Universal (all of which is on your doorstep), it is tired and not worth the hour journey (there and back).
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
We had a great stay and liked the area it was easy to access what ever you wanted to do. Great for a family to stay and enjoy and have space to relax
Vista Cay Penthouse with over 2,000 square feet. A positive experience from the moment we open the front door till we left 40 days later. Clean and well-maintained. Plenty of seating and storage space. Huge Master Suite. We hosted several dinner parties and enjoyed the spacious and nicely furnished dining room. Particularly liked the sunsets from the balcony. Also, Vista Cay amenities included a pool, snack restaurant, and a wide paved side walk that stretched around the pond --easy access for jogging or leisure walks. View of SeaWorld. Worth mentioning is the well stocked kitchen and gleaming silver ice bucket. Good quality assortment of beverage, cocktail glasses and serving platters. Bar seating in the kitchen so the cook and guests can chat. Unit is spacious with modern furniture and leather sectional. Like the personal touch that Penthouse owners live nearby. They called us several times to see if we needed anything or had questions about the area. Location is walking distance (across the parking lot) to Publix, hair/nail salon/restaurants.
We are snow birds and definitely recommend this property.
