“Great Value!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2012

We just returned from a 7 night stay in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath suite. Great room for the money. Plenty of room for our family of 5. The kids had their own space to get away from each other when necessary. The room was showing signs of aging, but clean. I do have a few complaints: weird smell in hallways, pillows hard little rocks, sheets did not fit quite right on some beds, trash bags provided very thin and rip very easily, could not access wifi in our room (signal too low). With all this said, our stay was very enjoyable and we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Bring your own pillows if possible. If wifi is important, ask for a room closer to lobby. Shuttles...

We rented a 2 bedroom to stay for our 1st Dworld parks adventure, large rooms with full kitchen and living room is great for families, close to parks, but definately need a car, shuttle or cab to get there. Pool is nice for the kids, having a washer and dryer made it easy to pack for the long trip. Bar at pool is overpriced and food not good, don't bother with convenience. The service at the concierge was poor. Both times I visited to ask questions, I got rolled eyes and poor service. Jen at concierge was rude and needs to be taught some etiquette and helpfulness to guests who may be visiting for the 1st time.

Room Tip: View of the pirate pool is fun for the kids.

We had a large group of people (4 adults, 5 kids 2-13 years old). Great space for such a large group. We never felt crowded. Overall, we were exceedingly pleased with our stay. Our reservation was for a 4 BR Bahama Suite, but we were upgraded to the 4 BR Grand Cayman. The room was clean, but we were on the top floor of building 1 which was nowhere near the pool and a bit of a hike with 4 kids and a 2 year old. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to your needs. The resort location was convenient to everything, just a short drive to WDW, Universal, WalMart and Downtown Disney.

We did have a few glitches, but again they were very accommodating. The mechanical room for the elevators was outsides one of the master bedrooms and every time the elevator was used, you'd hear a loud knocking sound. The first night, my brother thought someone was knocking at the door. They offered to move our room, but we chose not to pack, move and unpack 9 people.

I was a little disappointed that our dining table only seated 6, especially when you consider we were in a room that accommodated 10. And the King size sheets didn't seem to fit the beds. Not a huge deal, as I would adjust when I returned from the restroom during the night. It was great having the washer and dryer. We all went home from vacation with clean laundry.

The week we were there, the weather was in the high 80s - low 90s. Midway through our stay, we came back from the pack early evening to find our AC had stopped working. 2 calls to the front desk saw a maintenance man to the room in just over an hour. Turns out the line was frozen. Once again they offered to switch our room, which we declined. The GM Darryl was exceedingly kind and discounted our room for our troubles.

We used the Pizza Hut Express and the store, which was pricey but convenient. We went to the Irish Pub twice. The food was good and even the kids ate well.

All in all, we'll be staying there again and are currently planning a trip back.

My family and I arrived at LBVR and was very pleased with the cosmetics of the property, as it was very pleasing to the eye and modern looking. We entered the lobby excited and ready to begin our vacation. We were a little early, but decided to attempt to check in anyway. Although our room was not ready to be occupied, the front desk clerk gave us coupons to eat at the nearby pub while we waited, we were very pleased with his service and hospitality. Finally, 4 o clock came and we were ready to check in, sadly we were greeted by a line of other guest waiting to check in, not a big deal as the front desk staff worked vigorously to get the many guest checked in. When we got to the desk we checked in. We entered our condo #2305, to find that the television had to be programmed to find channels, but even more disturbing, in two out of the three bathrooms had hair in both the sinks and tubs, as if they had not been cleaned after the previous guest had departed, and we also found an empty potato chip bag and a piece of starburst wrapper in one of the dresser drawers, how this happened is beyond us. Though this was very unpleasant, we did not get angry, but instead just wanted them to be cleaned properly so we could enjoy our vacation. We called the front desk, who quickly sent up two staff members. While I was away at the store, the men started cleaning, however when I returned one of the tubs was still dirty, and my fiance informed me that the cleaning staff said, and I quote, " We are not professional cleaners, and this tub is not dirty, and therefore does not need to be cleaned." We cleaned the tub ourselves, and this gave reason for my first of five attempts to contact the "Manager on Duty", named Darryl. This was the biggest disappointment of our vacation. Even if the cleaning staff did not believe the tub was dirty, it would have been very pleasing if they would have cleaned it, because it was soiled with toothpaste residue as well as hair. I attempted multiple times to speak with Darryl, but at no success. I did speak with his secretary who said that she would ensure that he contacted me. It has been more than a week since the first attempt to contact him, but still he has not returned any of my messages, I starting to wonder if Darryl actually exist. Despite what the lobby sign reads, Darryl seemed to never be on duty, rather at lunch, or out doing property inspections; whatever that means. We are not pleased with Darryl's consideration for his guest, or the cleaning staff. Other than those experiences the front desk staff were very understanding and accommodating.

We enjoyed the nearby outlet malls, and the pools at the resort. Most staff were very friendly and considerate. However, because of the Manager's inconsideration we will probably seek accommodations elsewhere for out summer 12 vacation to Orlando. Overall, LBVR is great for families and can prove to be very enjoyable, hopefully future guest have a little better experience with the cleanliness of the rooms than we did, as we know our stay was during a very busy week.

We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience with us, and that you had difficulty contacting management. We assure you that we are taking appropriate action to ensure this does not happen again. However, we are glad that you had the chance to enjoy our pool and the nearby outlets, and we hope that you will give us a second chance this summer so that we can show you better hospitality!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo in Building 1, 4th floor, for 7 nights.
First, the PROS: this resort is about 10 minutes drive from the major parks (Disney and Universal Studios); a Walmart (open 24 hrs) is nearby, so you can buy fresh food and other goods any time (BTW, we heard that Florida uses "recycled" water, perfectly safe to use however I definitely recommand you drink bottled water), a "small" outlet is also from walking distance; the kitchen is well equiped, but if you prefer dining out, there are several restaurants in less than 30 minutes drive, and also a Pizza Hut Express in the convenience store located at Building1; the washer / dryer were a bless, so you don't need to pack too much clothes for the entire week; the pool is nice and clean, we found the pirate ship a brilliant idea.
As for the CONS: the carpet of the room and in the hallway is old, stained and ... smelly; the Internet connection is feeble inside the condo, our teenagers (who can't live without the Internet (!)) had to stand in the hallway to get a decent signal. And ... Ewww ... we found a cockroach wandering on the wall just outside our door once! Just hope we did not bring one home in our suitcase!
