We've visited here previously and were excited to go back again. We are members to our local science center and it's part of the same passport program, so we got free admission which is awesome! The center is large (though portions were being renovated when we were there). There's 4 floors of exhibits and while we only spent about 3hrs there, we could've spent much longer. My kids liked the dinosaur area (I had to pry them away from the dino dig area!) and we enjoyed the planet show. We also enjoyed the small animal exhibit on the bottom floor- lots of snakes, frogs, and alligators! It's definitely worth a visit for any family!
This is a place for all ages, with so many activities on the Four floors. There is a regular series of wonderful films but beware at busy times be early in the queue or you may not get in. The toddler zone is fantastic, except when we last visited , it was school holidays and there were so many children our 3 year was quite overwhelmed. Just two grumbles, there was only one quite small lift which meant travel between the floors quite challenging with a push chair. The other negative is the food and drink. They have just opened a cafe but the main place is a Subway, which to be honest was not a good experience. I queued for over 40 minutes to get very average pizza.
Visited the science center a few times for random events and feel in love with the place more and more. Seen a friend get married here and it was beautiful.
It has been a good experience for a five year old who expected to much and got it. Good entertainment and safe environment that make a chil day a blast
Went there with my 80 year old mother, my husband and 2 teenaged sons. We had a ball. Went thinking we’d spend an hour or so and stayed 4 hours. Mind bender exhibit was so so much fun. Tons of hands on puzzles to solve. Also watched amazon movie in cinedome that was excellent (and included in admittance)
Subway restaurant on lower so you don’t have to leave when lunch time comes.
Fun for kids of all ages.
Nice gift shop with lots of cool science items and even t shirts celebrating Pi day !
My 6 year old daughter and I visited this Saturday (03/10/2018). We had a blast! Lots of hands on exhibits, and she was particularly thrilled with the observatory. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to see anything in the sky, but we were able to see some Osprey nesting over the parking garage. Visits to the science center were one of my favorite things when I was her age, so it was great to be able to share this experience with her. And at only a 40 minute trip from Daytona Beach, we will definitely be getting passes, so we can be frequent visitors!
