What a find for a fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee! It is next to impossible to find a two bedroom cabin/cottage on the north side of Lake Okeechobee but we did luck out as we stumbled across Angler's Villa on the internet! It is also very secluded from the main road yet very close to the hot fishing spots on the North side of the Lake. For Crappie Fishing, we'd recommend Tim Gibson out of Okeechobee Fishing Headquarters. He can put you on lots of crappie even on the most adverse fishing conditions!
Our two bedroom cabin (3 nite stay minimum) was very unpretentious from the outside but spectacular, upscale, and very roomy and soothing to the nerves on the inside. Not only did one have a huge living room area with a 25 inch cable tv, but a modern kitchenette for cooking crappie at night. The resort also includes a fishing cleaning station adjacent to the canal!
The two bedrooms were very large and airy with one with two single beds and the master bedroom with a very large double bed. Both bedrooms had roomy closets and dressers to put your clothes in.
The resort also includes a small pool and outdoor lounging area and beautiful starlit nites adjacent to a waterfront canal. The yards of the cottages included both a front and back yard, and our unit had an orange tree for your morning's breakfast!
The cottages are under $75 dollars per night--and yet are very upscale inside that they rank up with Door County, Wisconsin's top cottage resorts.
What a bargain with the friendliest of all people! Pure paradise on the beautiful Big "O"
