This park has several options. We have taken our dogs to the dog beach. It is on the Ponce Inlet and is easier to wade in than the ocean. Quiet setting but you need to be there before the tide comes in. A great place even without a dog.

The park is a 1 1/2 mile "boardwalk" through beautiful sand dunes, a gopher tortoise and nature preserve and a great doggie beach. You do have to leash the dog (s) but many have 20 foot and longer "reel" leashes so the dogs can play in the water. There is also a "doggie wash" area for our furry friends. Bring your own soap!
About 1/2 way around is the ocean beaches - great spot for surfers or just a nice walk on the beach. The inlet Jetty is famous for fishing and new pier has just been completed off to the left for fishing or just enjoying the view.
The boardwalk is currently undergoing complete renovation and will be completed in 2018. A great family (and dog) spot to enjoy.

We love this beach and take our dogs there on a regular basis. Yes it sucks that you have to keep the dogs on a leash but you can still enjoy yourselves. Of course there are people who don't do this and that's especially annoying if their dogs are not well behaved. You can get a $15 fine for not having your dogs on a leash. Overall, we have a good time every time we go! Our experience with people there has always been nice.

Love this place. The fishing pier was nice . Great view of the pounce inlet and lighthouse.
Some of the walkways are under construction.
But there is lots to walk and along the way you can see some tortoise if your lucky like we were.
The beach is nice , full of surfers.

The doggie beach is great . They have an area to rinse off your dog and give them some water.

At the pavilion there are bathrooms. The cost is $10. You get a second entry free ( same day)

Definitely recommend it!!!

Dogs must be on leach. Fun in the water and room to lay a blanket and sit. A little bit of a walk so remember to bring everything. No food or water available. No lifeguard. But a fun day at the beach for the dogs !
