Prime 112 is a hot spot for a great food and eye candy.
Was invited to have dinner there and ordered the rib eye which was delicious. My date ordered the meatballs and a salad. Everything was delectable and the presentation was above average. A bit loud as far as noise level, but that is to be unexpected because it is not unusual to be dining next to well known celebrities. If you are visiting miami , it ahould definitely be on your to do list.

On our one night to spend in Miami Beach we were looking for the best steak house the city had to offer. While checking into the 1 Hotel (amazing hotel btw) we were recommended by many to visit the Prime One Twelve Steak House. Starting around noon that day we called numerous times to try and make a reservation, a place this busy must need a reservation. After calling over and over (for hours) we finally were able to speak to the hostess who put us down for a 9 pm reservation for two. Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet. He seemed very eager to let us know that when we were finished with our meal they had a complimentary car service with our hotel and he would be glad to take care of our drive home. Sounds too good to be true, right? So, we decide to sit at the bar instead of taking our table, big mistake. The chairs are clear plastic uncomfortable stools that look like they were plucked out of a 90’s hair salon and it smelled horrible near the bar area. After just a few minutes we decided to take our table and asked them to seat us, they did and were very nice. However, they brought us to a tiny table, that looked like it had been an after thought to the floor plan, just to squeeze in a few more seats. We were eye level with every employee’s behind as they ran back and fourth to deliver food to the dining room. Again, we asked to please be moved to another spot ( I hate doing that at restaurants but I just had to). We sat at another smaller table set near the back of the restaurant, so much better. Beer selection was definitely lacking to just five or six to choose from but the wine selection was ok. After we finally got settled at our table we were so excited about our steak dinner that it didn’t matter! We had some oysters as an appetizer and then ordered two fillets and a family sized side of garlic mashed potatoes. The steaks were on par with an outback steak, nothing really wrong with it but most definitely nothing special to write home about. I’m not sure why this place was so highly recommended, the ambiance was so so, bar area wasn’t very appealing, and the food is just ok. We finished up our meal and were just ready to get back to the hotel after being disappointed with our experience. The valet greeted us again as we were leaving and showed us to the car that was pulling up, we went to tip him and he said ‘oh you owe me $5 and she gets $20’. Hmmmmm.... doesn’t sound complimentary to me. We declined and took a $6 Uber back to the hotel a few blocks away. Even though we were not satisfied with our dining experience we didn’t think we would have the valet trying to bamboozle us on our way out. Just felt like this place is WAY over rated here.

First off the waitstaff was excellent, but the food doesn’t really live up to the hype. I have dined here before and felt the same way . Nothing terrible but nothing noteworthy. The staff and restaurant are friendly and nice .

They say you get what you pay for, and Prime 112 fits the bill. Steaks, sides, and appetizers were all excellent, but far from cheap eats. If you're in the mood for a great steakhouse, and willing to pay for it, this is place to go.
