The staff here was super nice however I would rather be staying in RIKERS ISLAND PRISON then to stay at this property it's the worst. I can't for the world of me figure out how this property became a Starwood Property The rooms are horrible on every level and you would make off better just renting a van and buying some sleeping bags than to stay here it's in need of a tear down and rebuild everything is outdated the pool area is depressing and unless you are ready to play a Lionel Richie song and die.

I suggest you not even attempt to visit I've visited alot of property's in the Miami area and I was always interested in staying here well needles to say my interest has been a nightmare, also when you check out they have to get security to come and check your room which further delays your departure so please be ready to stay in extra hour or whenever security can get to your room. If your looking for a great haunted house or a 70"s porn atmosphere this is definitely your place other than that giving this a one star rating is too generous.

The Royal Palm South Beach was a hot spot Labor Day weekend. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had two rooms with great views. The drinks from the bar inside were better then being serviced on the beach. O e of the pool areas were under construction, but overall it was a great trip.

I just stayed at this hotel over Labor Day for a weekend vacation. I'm a frequent business traveler, so I've stayed in multiple hotels, and initially I wasn't overly impressed with the room. The bathroom door was always off track. The A/C didn't work properly and the room always seemed hot. The room wasn't overly impressive and the hotel is currently under renovations, but what really ruined my experience and has left me emotionally and financially bankrupt is the situation of theft I experienced. I had placed my wedding ring in a hidden compartment in one of my bags during the day while I was at the pool, locked the room, and discovered that evening that my ring was missing from my bag. The only person who accessed the room during the day was the housekeeper. The other guests also noticed that their suit cases had been unzipped, but luckily nothing stolen from them. I immediately noticed the ring was missing from my bag that evening and reported this to the hotel manager directly. They have questioned the maid once for 30 minutes, who of course has denied the theft, and they are simply stating there is nothing more they can do. I checked out earlier today and recently attempted to call the hotel manager to see if the ring has been uncovered, and they have taken over an hour to get back to me with a report. For something as serious as a stolen wedding ring, I would think they would make this a higher priority, especially if all signs point to the housekeeper being the source of theft seeing she was the only one in the room from the last time I had the ring in my possession to the time it went missing.

I have filed reports with SPG and the Police and am doing everything I can to get to the bottom of this and I can honestly say it has been my worst nightmare knowing that SPG would hire staff that would rob their guests of such sentimental value. The ring wasn't out in plain site, it was hidden in my bag is what really terrifies me. Please, don't take the risk of staying here. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made.

Not I'm impressed with the rooms, the bathroom door did not close properly for privacy. There's mold in the shower and sink. The cabinet for the refrigerator did not close all the way. The beach service was great. Irwin Pineda is a wonderful hostess who knows how to take care of his guess.

While I'm waiting for about 4 hours to get a room ready, yeah 4 hours after a +20 hours trip of flights and connections... our room is not even close to be ready and staff doesnt have a clue to when our fully prepaid reservation will be ready... to make matters worst while waiting at the reception desk it became clear from guests feedback and walking around the hotel while waiting, that the hotel is facing renovation and big selling perks like the pool, gym and common areas were not available... wait a min for $30 a day for resort fees and $42 for parking its not acceptable that none of these infos were clear upfront online before reservations and payment were made... I feel cheated and definitely not coming back to Royal Palm in Miami... and all that in our first day before even freaking checking in...
