There is so much wrong here but let me start with the strangeness of having exposed trays of silverware on each table - in the center. If you want a fork or knife you take it from the table placed tray which has about 50 knives and forks. This is not only weird and unprecedented but it is a health issue.
The whole (now) tired concept of food halls takes on a strange version at Casa Tua Cucina. It is adjacent and almost connected to a department store. As such it feels like nothing more than a glorified mall food court and unfortunately the food is not much better.
The threadbare and unattractive cafeteria setting is confusing. A customer has to go to each station (pasta, wine etc) stand on line to place orders and then try to procure a hard to find table. Seriously who wants to do this? Does this sound like a relaxing lunch? Far from it.
The food is doled out in factory like precision and tastes it. Nothing was good and everything bordered on edible only if you're hungry enough. We had a linguine with white clam sauce which was not very good as well as a pedestrian cacio e pepe. Nothihg worth waiting in line for. Same goes for the other dishes we tried.
When we did get to our uncomfortable table a waiter (?) did ask us if we wanted to place a drink order but we already ordered drinks, so I'm not sure - was he a regular waiter which I doubt because we had to queue for food so I guess he was an expeditor or helper. I think.
The tables are designed for rushed eating for quick turnover and I suppose that is another reason this cafeteria is so unattractive. If you are looking for ambiance, relaxed dining or good food, move on because its not here.
