My husband and I recently bought a 20 foot Seafox open fisherman. We are beginning boaters so we have payed close attention to boat ramps and accessability. We went today to inspect the ramps at Haulover and discovered they are quite wide, not too steep (slick, steep ramps can be a big problem if the tide is low) and were all around pleased. The inlet is narrow (not a shipping inlet, such as Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale) making it smaller boat friendly, but would advise not using it at night without a GPS it is that narrow, it would definately be hard to see with the naked eye at night. A lot of surrounding tropical beauty, with picnic tables and grills. Today is Monday so for those that are trying to beat the crouds weekdays are it, plenty of parking ect.
