We were at the Nobu Hotel a few weeks ago and were thoroughly impressed. Our go to hotel - Ritz Carlton is till closed because of the hurricane so we decided to try the Nobu Hotel. We were immediately impressed right off the bat. We called as we had made a reservation online and spoke to Raul in reservations. Right away he noticed that there was a package that was less than the one we had selected and included breakfast and parking! We were thrilled as my husband rented a car and thought that valet parking was through the roof price wise. We not only listened to his suggestion but he also had a bottle of wine upon arrival for my birthday! What a way to impress us.

The room itself was quite beautiful with simple and functional and also very soothing to the eyes. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept like babies.

As a result of the free breakfast in the morning (thanks to Raul!) we were able to enjoy a very full early start of the day to then lay about on the beach (chairs are included in their resort fee) and also relax at the pool as well. I need to thank Joseph at the pool area who made sure we were taken care of every morning.

Upon checkout we were sad to leave but were grinning the entire time as we had not had such a relaxing time in ages. We will be back soon and cannot wait till the Malibu opens!

Room tip: Ask for a high floor for unparallel views

I've never been to Miami Beach so I booked a night at Nobu pre cruise and a night at Eden Roc post cruise, not realizing they are the same property. The pre cruise stay we had to wait to check in for about 15 minutes due to only one desk clerk. The hot towel was nice. We were supposed to have an ocean view room but none were available. The bar and Nobu restaurant were lovely. The room was fine but the shower is complicated and weird. Loved the bedding and pillows. Post cruise we tried to check into Eden Roc, but were 'upgraded' to Nobu. Again, ocean view room but none were available so our 'upgrade' really wasn't an upgrade, just a similar room to the room we had before. We could see the ocean over the parking lot if we looked sideways. Room service was great and the wings are spectacular. Not the service or rooms I'd expect for the price. We also found that the location was not ideal for high end shopping or dining. It was Easter/Shabat weekend so the brunch and hotel in general was super crowded and some of the guests were downright rude and pushy. I do have to note that the staff was very friendly.

Room tip: Eat at the restaurant if you like sushi!!

So, as many have said, the hotels range from one star to five. Why can this be achieved? Tastes, high vs low season, preferences...

We stayed at the 12th floor and room and specially bed were amazing, thats why I gave it a 3 star

Things to have in mind:

Packages: if you are are shopper, packages sent to the Hotel can cost you between 7 and 13 usd. (Maybe more, but depends on weight, our maximum was 13). It is handled well by the UPS office that is inside.

Events: during Holy Week, every single day there was a private event. Ergo, 1/3 of the pool space was occupied. So, impossible to get a pool chair. Yes, impossible from 10am to 6pm. Also service was severly affected. Beach food service averaged 45 min...

Amenities: you are going to share everything with Eden Roc’s guests... all said

Beach: one part was fully occupied by private events. The other one...charges you an extra USD 25 (apart from the USD 21 resort fee) for an umbrella.... yes usd 46 for a basic spot in beach and NO spot by the pool...

So, you thought you were going to a leading hotel of the world? WRONG. And shame on it. This is like going to a Days INN with LHW price tag.

Maybe if you go in low season you will find it ok. Otherwise avoid and save your bucks.

Last week my family and I stayed at the Nobu Hotel in Miami for one week during Spring break. The hotel exudes a peaceful yet elegant attitude that is evident from the lobby to the pool area and also in both restaurants, Nobu and Malibu Farm.
Upon checking in at the reception we were received well by David at the reception. He speedily checked us in and was so cheerful and accommodated us with every request. The room was awesome - decorated beautifully including all the amenities you would expect in a five star hotel.
Edwin at the front door magically asked to help us before we even approached him for help. Truly a star employee just like David.
Everyone including the housekeepers were always greeting us with a smile and fulfilling our needs during the entire stay. We will definitely be back!!!

Our stay at the Nobu/ Eden Roc was extra special because of the exemplary professionalism and friendly manner of Joseph the Beach manager and Kassandra the supervisor. They know how to put the “V” in Vacation splendor.
