So, as many have said, the hotels range from one star to five. Why can this be achieved? Tastes, high vs low season, preferences...
We stayed at the 12th floor and room and specially bed were amazing, thats why I gave it a 3 star
Things to have in mind:
Packages: if you are are shopper, packages sent to the Hotel can cost you between 7 and 13 usd. (Maybe more, but depends on weight, our maximum was 13). It is handled well by the UPS office that is inside.
Events: during Holy Week, every single day there was a private event. Ergo, 1/3 of the pool space was occupied. So, impossible to get a pool chair. Yes, impossible from 10am to 6pm. Also service was severly affected. Beach food service averaged 45 min...
Amenities: you are going to share everything with Eden Roc’s guests... all said
Beach: one part was fully occupied by private events. The other one...charges you an extra USD 25 (apart from the USD 21 resort fee) for an umbrella.... yes usd 46 for a basic spot in beach and NO spot by the pool...
So, you thought you were going to a leading hotel of the world? WRONG. And shame on it. This is like going to a Days INN with LHW price tag.
Maybe if you go in low season you will find it ok. Otherwise avoid and save your bucks.
