Taxi from airport is $35 and a great deal. The cheapest and most efficient way to the hotel. Taxis are right outside the baggage claim.
check in was a breeze and we somehow booked the honeymoon suite (1709). Terrific room with a few minor issues. The pull out couch is horribly uncomfortable to sit in. And we waited 3 nights to get robes after shower. The furniture on the patio is uncomfortable due to wear and tear. If you can get by these small issues, you will love this room. It looks over the pool, and you can see the ocean.
One item you will want to ask is if there will be a wedding during your stay. If so, the entire pool area and the outside dining area will be used. You almost feel like an outsider because you cannot use the pool and the crowd is using most of the area. The music will be blaring until midnight.
There is music in the bar on Thur - Sat nights. Very good piano and singing. Alot of fun. Dinner is $39 per person for appetizer, dinner and desert. Very good deal and you can watch the piano and singers. Drinks are 1/2 price from 6 to 8pm. Great breakfast buffet for $20. Warning on coffee and tea alone. You will pay $7 for coffee or tea. Also know that every bill will have a 18% tip already built into the bill so be careful of overtipping!
The concierge, Natalya is wonderful. She helped us book tours and arranged evening dinners. Make sure you use her.
Overall a very nice and quaint place with much character. I would recommend you to stay here.
