“Noisey”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

Stayed two nights in early may for daughters gradualion from FIU. Spacious bedroom on 9th floor with king bed, big flat sceen tv,writing desk and reading side chair with lamp. Our view was of Brickell below and the baseball stadium in the distance. The bed was super comfortable with a lot of pillows. I did not hear any noise within the hotel, but a lot of noise from outside. They were doind road constuction late at night which woke me up at 4 in the morning with trucks beeping and jack hammers. We left for the day and came back at 5:30 and room still not made up. Contacted maid next door and she cleaned room while I sat and read. Awkward. Delayed us as we needed to change and go to the graduation. bathroom is also very dark so you can't see well. They have a door stop scewed to the floor in the bathroom which I stubbed my toe, it hurt. The shower head is very low. Hotel valet is $29 a day but they are prompt if you call down. Very much a banking center and good for business travel. Zuma at the Epic hotel is a great place to eat.

Room Tip: Be sure contruction outside on Brickell is finished before booking. Will keep you up at night.

We stayed here for a brief overnight stop before our return flight to the airport. Chose not to stay in the craziness of Miami Beach and very pleased with this choice. As you would expect from Marriott, the staff are courteous and professional.

Housekeeping do a great job and rooms are clean and spacious with huge windows and great views (depending on which side and what floor of the hotel you're on). For once, the air con was not an issue as it so often can be in hotels, even the high end chains.

The beds are very comfortable with quality linens and the bathrooms a very nice size with adequate space for your toiletry items. All in all, a great stay and would certainly recommend to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room to get a better view.

This is a usual top quality Marriott business hotel. Spacious room. Excellent bed, nice amenities, helpful and professional staff. The pool is small and doesn't open early in the morning, but the spa staff is great. I had a very reasonable priced top mani pedi.

Hotel with a great location, service was efficient & professional if not over friendly. Rooms were very good, excellent decor & facilities. PC in the room was a great boon.
On the downside there were no non-feather pillows in the room (even the spare ones in the closet were feather). It wasn't a big deal for me so didn't ask for them to be switched which I'm sure they would have done but would have been an issue if my husband had been on the trip too.
The big deal was standing in the shower only to find the shampoo was completely empty as was the shower gel. I didn't have time to get out, dry off and try to get some brought to the room, so had to wash my hair with soap - not a good start to the day !
The other negative was despite being on the 19th floor I could still hear road noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away away from Brickell Ave, might be quieter

The rooms are truly wonderful! Floor to ceiling windows; large desk/work area with a comfortable chair; nice lighting and dimming options; fancy coffee maker; huge flat TV.

The bathroom is spacious, with both a bath tub and a shower. If they only included salts or a bubble bath option!

The best thing were the bed and pillows -- ultra comfortable! My only regret was not being able to sleep in.

If I could change anything is the fact that they only have four elevators for the whole building and they tend to take quite some time to arrive. This can be very frustrating. Also, wireless Internet connection and cell phone service is extremely spotty throughout the hotel.
