We have never been to the Miami Zoo so you could imagine how surprise we were when we got to the Zoo grounds and discovered what the Miami Zoo is all about. It is immense and well layout out for the visitors and the animals. Lots of signs leading you to the animal in their natural habitat .
There was a feeding of the giraffes ,Kids sliding in a tube in the alligator display. A bit scary for the kids and the adults. Kids loved it. Thought it was the best part of our visit.
There are strategically placed food venues . A bit costly but not unexpected. Lots of places to take good photographs with or without the Zoo inhabitancies.
There is a mono rail , boat rides in Swans and Ducks on the river, 4 passenger covers tricycles get toy around If needed a golf cart would pick you..
Gift shop had a few of the regular items you expect at Zoo, Logo Tee shirts, Stuff Animals and souvenirs.
If you have grandchildren visiting , or want to enjoy the perfectly laid out Zoo for easy traveling within the compound, their map comes in quite handy. More than once for us.
It did rain heavy for the early hour of the time we were there. But good things come to those that wait and we did.
for 1 1/2 hours it rained the minute we entered the park , We were fortune enough to be right at the Nourish 305 food emporium which we entered, bought our lunches, Stayed there while it rained. We then mapped out what we would see and when,
If you have never been to the Miami Zoo or did it ages ago, stop by you will be impressed.
