...and STILL good!
Mr. He has retired and turned 80 in February. .. it he happened by while I was there!
Will was up front taking orders and frying.
The shrimp were big and plump, crunchy hush puppies and great Whiting!
This place is not for you foofoo types: Styrofoam and plastic forks. .no frills.
So if you want frills...
...stick with greasy tourist trap Red Lobster.
Gordon's is locals only.

Thank Seamere

Just a little restaurant, very simple decor, paper plates, nice people, excellent sea food especially the shrimp and cat fish. We'll go back when we pass that way which is often in the summer; would recommend to anyone who loves good sea food and who is not too concerned about the the decor. Good french fries, great hush puppies, not so great cole slaw...but overall very good.

After stopping by the Zora Neale Hurston Museum, my friend MJ and I had lunch at Gordon's Be-Back Fish Fry. Thanks to a Trip Advisor's review. It is a short walk to the end of the small Town. It is the type of place where "everyone knows your name". It felt like home. Rocko, our server and gracious host, greeted us with a welcoming smile. The restaurant is owned and operated by a former Mayor of Eatonville. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet him. Rocko represented him with pride. The food was great! The fish was fresh and seasoned perfectly and the potato salad was like "welcome home". We laughed and talked with the other patrons and learned a little more about the pride of Eatonville. We were very satisfied and full, however we took with us an assortment of desserts baked by Rocko with love! Delish! Thank you to all the wonderful people we met that afternoon in Eatonville, Florida.

We visited this place after a funeral ( of all things) and boy O boy!! They serve the absolute best Friday fish and desserts than you will find anyplace! I didn't even like Key Lime pie but they made me a believer!

We drove all the way from Tennessee, and it was the highlight of an otherwise not so happy trip. Wow!

Gordon's is a MUST!!!

I had to stop in when I was in the area because of all the great reviews... I may not be back... The basa fish was not bad, however everything else was... we ate in and the condiments at the tables were caked with dried food, the slaw was frozen... yes, frozen! We got a very small serving of tartar. They only have canned drinks, plastic forks...

Thank James W
