It is nothing special to look at from the outside, but inside it is perfect. There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, I think. The floors are tiled upstairs and down. The bathrooms are nice. We paid $4,300 for 8 days or abut $500 per day for 4 families and a total of 8 adults and 6 kids. The beach is clean and wide and a lot of fun. We are from Wisconsin so we are pretty easily satisfied with any sunny beach but this was as good as it gets.
They have a large dining room table that works well for large groups like ours. Kitchen was new and appliances all worked well. Overall, it was a great vacation and it had a lot to do with how nice this place was.
This house was perfect for our family get together! We had the house full and came from 4 different states! The house was clean, the areas were comfy and homey feeling. We loved that the upstairs and downstairs were separated. It was great for adults who wanted to sleep in and the kids could be loud without bothering anyone. Door codes were helpful so no one had to track keys. The outdoor shower is the greatest thing for all the guests!
Coffee and doughnuts were right across the street, and there was a lot of great local restaurants! It was so relaxing and a wonderful space to enjoy!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND :) Just don't take our week ha!
Property is right on water and has a nice view. Weather did not cooperate so we were not able to use the beach, however we wanted to use the deck and patio areas when the rain moved out of the area. patio was very dirty and not in very nice order. The upper deck area had maintenance issues, doors to both areas in very bad shape, difficult to open upstairs patio doors.
We rented the entire house, they don't really tell you that the only way to get upstairs, especially if the weather is not good is via a winding metal staircase. If you have older guests or young children this is not very optimal. Also to get between the downstairs and upstairs you must go outside on either this stairway or an exterior stairway off the upper deck.
Upstairs areas were clean and there were plenty of towels and a nice washer and dryer. Two kitchens upstairs, both have been updated but as a large family we wanted to eat together so used the downstairs only. This kitchen needs updated, especially counters. They don't tell you till you get the check in papers that the refrigerator for some reason is cold when you arrive but when you fill it with your items it takes a very long time to get back to the correct temp. The paperwork says it will do this if you fill it with warm food, so we bought only cold pop, beer, etc. It did not matter, when we got up next morning all things in frig were barely chilled and I had to put stuff in the freezer to save it.
Also on first day my daughter-in-law who was staying in the downstairs bedrooms found a huge cockroach in the kitchen. my son took it to the garage and killed it but left it on the floor there so hopefully someone would see it when they came to clean, etc. I am sure they have a service come to protect the property, however this really freaked my daughter-in-law out and she did not enjoy her stay. Also, the downstairs was not nearly as clean as the upstairs, especially the bathroom.
The location is good for beach areas, restaurants, etc. It is 35 min to airport in Tampa and 48 minutes to Busch gardens and afternoon traffic is bad coming back so consider the purpose of you visit before you decide to stay here. If you are just beachin that would be the best.
Also, we tried to use the far bedroom that has a kitchen and two queen beds, however you have to pass through another bedroom to get to a bathroom and so that was not a good set up for our son and his 8 year old daughter. We abandoned that room and slept three in the king bed in the master. The master bath is really nice, the master itself is small and seems to have been built into the living area so if just two people are staying up there it would be really nice, if it is a family there is little privacy.
All in all, not my cup of tea.
