This was our second visit to Chili’s, first time in January, so the fact we returned says it must have been good. We arrived for an early lunch just after 11.30, and I’m glad we did within half an hour the place was very busy, again it must be because it’s good.
They give you a complimentary bowl of corn tostada chips and fresh chili salsa, which are tasty, and set your taste buds up for the main event, they are in fact rather greasy. But it’s harsh to criticise something that’s free.
We ordered the Skillet combo with Chicken and Steak, this comes with soft tortillas, fried onions and peppers, rice, a warm bean salsa, and a tray with guacamole, soured cream, tomato relish and grated cheese, basically it’s make your own wraps any way you want them.
I can’t get hugely enthusiastic over the quality, it was all fine, not great, but tasty non-the less. As with everywhere in the US it comes with unlimited soft drinks and the bill was $23. Two people, and we were full after the meal, really that represents excellent value for money, and don’t forget table service as well, with a generous tip, 20% we left having spent less than $30.
In summary whilst not the best meal of our trip I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Chili’s next time we are in the area.
