This is a great place to visit if you like the Keys. It's just right before the Seven Mile Bridge and the lower keys. Close enough for a visit, but far enough away to avoid the congestion and chaos of Key West. I love sitting pool side on the late afternoon and hearing life music at the Tiki Bar. It's also a great place to view the sunset as shown by the photos taken from the Tiki Bar.
I don't recommend the studio unless you are comfortable with always eating out during your stay. The Hammocks is a former hotel and the Studio is a hotel room with a King size bed and a microwave and tiny refrigerator, and cannot handle more than two people. I recommend either the one or two BR units, they have a kitchen within and you are able to prepare some of your meals there.

We had a 2 bedroom not ocean view large kitchen no washer dryer in unit, not real great beach access. Very pricey launch for all day fishing can find it much cheaper elsewhere. Staff wasn't friendly great stop for getting to key west.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom is best ask for ocean view only

This was out first time to the Keys and it certainly was a memorable one thanks to The Hammocks through Blue/Green. Upon arrival, the exterior looked nice and well kept. Upon entrance, there was a beautiful and soothing tropical scent the had and it just took away the stresses. The building can be a bit awkward at first. There are two sets of elevators. For example, if you lived in 210 you would have to take several corners around the hallways to get to your elevator. Once you get settled, it isn't so bad.

We didn't have a ocean view; however, all you have to do is go to the awesome Tiki lounge downstairs (good short order food and decent drinks). The view is amazing! It really pulls you into a tropical type paradise. There are many things to do on the Jerry's Marina which is connected to The Hammocks. My wife and I took a beautiful sunset tour which was roughly 2 hours on the jet skis. I highly recommend it as you will see everything from beautiful homes all the way to play under the 7 mile bridge.
Deep sea fishing is also available on the marina.

The pool looked well maintained and the wildlife (iguanas) were fun to watch (they are all over the property). There is a center area by the pool that provides grilling. The staff were nice and provided us with a comfortable and memorable experience.

One thing that bothered us the most is that the ceilings are paper thin. The entire time we were there it sounded like a herd of elephants moving furniture from one end of the room to the other. Unfortunately, it went on past "silent time" (2200 hrs.) where we had to call the front desk. They responded promptly and resolved the problem for us.

I do highly recommend The Hammocks and we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor are mostly likely quieter.

This is our first time at The Hammocks at Marathon. The rooms were very modern and the view from our room was great. The pool was never overly crowded and the staff was very friendly and
accommodating. It is only an hour drive to Key West. We will be back for sure!

I absolutely love this place! This was my second time staying here and it keeps getting better! The beds are super comfortable, as is the pullout couch if you need to use it! The staff was just incredibly nice. The pier out by the pool is a great place to see the sea life, including tarpon, lobsters, crabs, parrot fish, and many others. (I even saw a nurse shark!) the resort gets even more beautiful at sunset and if your lucky you'll be able to see a pod of dolphins too!
