This review is a no-brainer. Based on Marriott status, we were upgraded to a 1-bedroom "Presidential Suite". What a ridiculously luxurious room: full kitchen with granite countertops and full size Subzero fridge; dinning table, family room space; stacked washer/dryer; balcony; separate bedroom; jacuzzi tub and a shower. You get the idea.

- For status visitors, rather than concierge lounge, free breakfast at the restaurant. Also $10 food/beverage credit (really amounts to a free drink).
- Very nice property. Exceptionally clean room.
- Friendly staff.
- No resort fee!

Con's (very small):
- Hotel runs a free shuttle to "downtown" Key West. Great perk. Observed a couple operational hiccups. Shuttle missed a schedule pickup. Hotel made it right by picking up a rideshare fare rather than have us wait an hour.

Other notes:
- Key West has very little natural beach. The beach at the resort was created by filling in sand behind a retaining wall at the oceanside. It's an artificial beach.
- It's a resort. Expect resort pricing.
- If one is looking for Key West architecture and character, this is not the place for you. It's a pretty large property by Key West standards and is quite modern. It's also on the "other side" (which means 3 miles) of the island from the tourist center. Totally mitigated by the free shuttle and rideshare.

We had a great stay, and we admit the big upgrade influenced our thinking. Really nice resort property.

Room tip: A higher floor is a better view.

Have been to Key West multiple times. In the past have enjoyed the area near the cruise port --> ate key lime pie, stopped for a beer at Sloppy Joes --- enjoyed the shops.
...BUT THIS TIME instead of the walk about day, we hired an Uber to take us to/from this hotel. This hotel is local friendly, read: use the pool, enjoy the beach. We stopped at the front desk and got a map to the pool / water area.
-- You can purchase food and drinks from the bar / restaurant. The pool is modest, but CLEAN and warm enough. There is sandy area / lounge chairs by the water -- but NOT REALLY a place to 'swim in the ocean'
--- We were amused by a 2 different large lizards who were not too shy to take a cracker or a cherry from us.
-- DO NOT bring any outside food or drinks.
-- DO remember your own beach towels.
-- Yes, there are flush toilets and an outside shower.
Take the time to find and say hello to Ashley - she was a great server. Provided the right amount of attention and was friendly without being bothersome.
Drinks were yummy. We did not eat while we were here, but menu looked good = wide variety of options.

Stayed here over NYE and it was a really nice hotel! Staff was good, it was clean. If you are looking for a better hotel without the location or feel of Key West, I think this is a great choice. However, if you want convenience to walk everywhere and a little charm, this isn't for you.

Very nice property, clean, very nicely appointed rooms. They are large, roomy with high ceilings. Place is set up as a time share unit. My only complaint about the room - poor coffee set up. Should really invest in replacing them with real, full size makers. Staff was great, on site restaurant was great, pool area also nice. No beach true beach for walking but sand and chairs to sit. If not for the need to walk each morning to get my coffee, would have been a five star review from me.
