“Great Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2012

I just spent my 1 year anniversary during the long presidents weekend (Feb 17, 2012 to Feb 20, 2012) at the Albury Court Hotel and was extremely happy with the room and service. The front desk clerk Ray was very friendly and helpful as to what activities, restaurants, and bars to visit during our stay as well as providing us with many coupons. The room is simple, very clean and comfortable but seriously with all the things to see and do in Key West you won't be spending a lot of time in your room. I have read reviews before booking about excessive noise but I slept pretty sound every night. The only downside to staying anywhere in the Keys is the parking situation. Fortunately we were able to find parking across the street for free during our 4 days and I do recommend bringing or renting bikes. I will definitely stay at this hotel again!!

Room Tip: Our room had a balcony overlooking Eaton street. It was nice to drink coffee and lay out in the morn...

The Albury Court is just 3 blocks from the harbor and 6 blocks from Duval Street. Contintental breakfast by the pool was nice and satisfactory. The front desk was very helpful with requests and recommendations. We enjoyed our stay even though the last day we found a couple palmetto bugs in our room (wife not too happy about that).

We had a choice between a ground floor unit facing a busy main road or an upstairs unit that was supposed to be quieter. The upstairs unit was basically a converted attic which--due to the steep roof pitch--had lots of unusable spaces. Another drawback was that they located a window air conditioner right next to the bed which meant that one had a choice between trying to sleep with a noisy AC unit on or having no AC at all. We would have opened the window but there was no screen on the window to keep out bugs. We had a reservation for two nights and even though we tried to change to another room for the second night, the Polish desk clerk brusquely told us that "we don't have any vacant rooms right now." Bottom line, I will look for another hotel the next time we are in Key West.

Room Tip: ask to see the room before you take it.

My husband and I stayed at the Albury Court Hotel from December 30th, 2011, until January 2nd, 2012, as part of a tour of Florida. While we loved the location, which made walking to all local attractions very easy, we were very disappointed with the actual hotel. Our room was across the road from the office, a busy, main road, and the door opened right on to the street. The room was tiny and didn't even have a wardrobe, only three hooks and a few hangers in a drawer. Another cause for concern was a second door at the back of the room, with a lock. We didn't know whether it was a connecting door, or a door which led to a corridor. These issues made us feel very insecure during the night. On asking for a change of room, the hotel couldn't do so, as they were fully booked. We purposely spent as little time as possible in that room. For three nights at this hotel, admittedly during a peak holiday period, it cost $1042.89. During our trip, we stayed at two other hotels for three nights, one in Naples and the other in the Art Deco district of Miami Beach; this was the most expensive, and by far, the least value for money.

Room Tip: Check on the situation of the room you're booking, as we didn't realise rooms opened on to...

I just spent my first weekend in Key West for my birthday. Definitely I enjoyed my stay at Albury Court Hotel and would stay there again.

Since it was my birthday and first trip Ray was most helpful by referring me to a great spot for a superb birthday meal and referred me to Eaton Bikes for a bike rental. He is really great and absolutely deserves a raise!!!!

Thank you Albury Court I will be back!!!!
