Description: Cafe Sole has captured the hearts and palates of locals and visitors lucky enough to discover this culinary gem off the beaten path. By combining his French mastery of sauces with fresh locally caught seafood, John has created a menu unlike any on the island, where every dish is bursting with indescribable flavors. Mutton snapper in pesto and champagne, yellowtail in a beurre blanc of lobster or a rare hog snapper with red pepper zabaglione top a list of nightly specials. As for the classics, the Duck a L'Orange, Rack of Lamb with herb de Province and Lobster Bouillaise are as authentic as you will find this side of Paris. Chef Correa combines the best of both of his worlds, European and Caribbean to win the People's Choice and Best Entree awards at a recent Master Chefs Classic

It is a pleasure to visit Cafe Solé. The waiters are attentive, polite, and well trained. The menu is limited, but sufficient, and the wine list extensive. Allthough the prices are tending towards the high side, it is worth it, as a treat to yourselves.

Once again Cafe Solé has proved to be a winner. Food is always amazing. We shared six appetizers with various wines and all of them were great. Saganaki-flaming fried Greek cheese - amazing. Delicious anchovies (not the salty type) on toast, a stacked beet salad with, we believe, layers of a mild goat cheese, steamed baby clams.
Hannah, who seated us, and all of the servers and kitchen chefs who brought-out the dishes made us feel very welcome. We will return again with friends next week. 5 of 5!

I have been here many times, but it’s been awhile.

Nothing has changed and it is still fantastic! Seating out on the patio is ideal and intimate.

We decided on the anchovy appetizer and mushroom bisque for apps. Both were delicious but a bit pricey for the portion.

You must get the Hogfish Snapper entree, if you have not had it. It features a red pepper hollandiase, potatoes, butter beans, etc. It is fantabulous! Not to be missed and very memorable.

We also had broiled Skirt Steak as well as Blackened Grouper. They were both amazing, too.

Service was very professional and they have a good selection of wines from around the world.

This is a must while in Key West.

We spent $250 (4 people) without tip for 2 salads, 2 appetizers, 2 soups, two dinners, one dessert, and 5 glasses of wine (not expensive wine) . We expected excellence all around for that price. On the plus side, we were seated in a requested location. Also, the service was excellent. The ostrich appetizer was very good, the onion soup was excellent. However, the salads and dinners - grouper and filet mignon - were mixed. The vegetables with the dinner tasted like they were out of a can. The potatoes were dry. The grouper was good, but somewhat overcooked (dry). The filet was good. But for $40 per dinner you expect more. Also, the portions were a bit on the small side for the price (even though we did not expect huge platters in an upscale restaurant). We ordered an extra salad and dessert as we were still hungry, and we are not large women. The beet salad, while very tasty, was very small for $15, as an example.

All in all, I do not think we would try again, for $250 plus another $50 in tip, $75 each, there are better restaurants in this higher price range as concerns food quality.
