To repeat so many of the other reviews of this guesthouse, the Property Manager - Derek - really makes this the perfect place to stay. His sole aim seems to be helping his guests to enjoy their stay and to help out with minor administrative or domestic problems. The only real downside is the property's distance from the highlights of Duval Street, but it is also closer to the southern beaches and the southernmost point than most other accommodation. We walked everywhere and were easily among the bright lights within 10 minutes of leaving our room.
The room with its outside entrance from the immaculate tropical garden was perfect for a short stay. Spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with TV, A/C and iPod dock, we were very comfortable. It would have been nice though, to have tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served outdoors, although there was not enough seating for all the guests if the place was full and some guests took their plates and drinks back to their rooms.
If you are driving to the Keys and don't have a SunPass - get one. The Turnpike south of Fort Lauderdale is a cash free zone. Tolls are collected by SunPass or Toll-by-plate, the latter becoming very expensive if the bill gets sent to the rental car company!!!!More
