My husband and I stayed here for our 34th wedding anniversary. The hotel was quiet and convenient to Highway 1. We enjoyed the beautiful landscaped grounds with 2 pools and a hot tub. Our room overlooked the pool area and was on the second level. We did not have a balcony, but our room was a good size with a full sofa, king size bed, large flat screen tv, plenty of closet space and drawers, and a large vanity area. The bathroom was adequate but not very big - a slight disappointment. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked, the food delicious and the servers were very hospitable. We were a little surprised that guests needed to check out towels for the pool from the front desk instead of having them readily available poolside - another slight disppointment. Our activities included: a snorkeling cruise aboard the Reef Roamer (access from the marina next to the hotel - very convenient); a road trip to Key West; Bahia State Park (beautiful!) and dinner at the Fish Company Restaurant in Islamadora while watching the sunset. Having never visited this part of Florida, we enjoyed our stay. However, if we were to ever return, we would probably opt for a hotel on the beach farther down Highway 1 or in Key West.

Room Tip: Ask for second level poolside or marina view.

Standard Holiday Inn hotel. Friendly and efficient. Nice rooms. Unless you dive or snorkel, not a lot to do in Key L. The hotel is on the Mrina and it was nostalgic seeing the African Queen boat. Adjacent to hotel is Coconuts bar and resteraunt. Better than it looks. Has nice music (live) and they do a really really fab T-Bone Steak.

Room Tip: A good stop before you get to the KEYS.

A very nice hotel - clean tidy rooms.
The pool area is great and complimented with bar. Only stayed 2 nights but would definitely return.

This hotel was so nice, the location is perfect, you can walk to all of the water activity boats and great restaurants. We also walked to Sunset Cove to watch the sunset and it was less than 6 minutes. The place is clean, beds are comfy and the pool is super. The room had a balcony that looked right into the dock. We liked it so much on our way to Key West, that we re-booked another night on our way back to Miami. The staff in the kitchen at breakfast is the only thing I found that was not good. They are not friendly if you are redeeming a free coffee coupon as a priority club member. It seems like they are put-out by it. It not only happened the first time we visited the hotel, but also the second time. I will stay at this hotel again, hopefully the kitchen staff will have a better attitude. Beautiful landscaping as well!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the dock side, it is awesome to watch the boats come in and out and the pelicans are comical.

Good value for hotel in the Keys. Everything in our room was clean and up to date. Nice pillows, restaurant on site, tiki bar in pool area, laundry facilities. I really enjoyed my stay.
