Hello and thank you for this review.

We take enormous pride in our tours, plus sharing this wonderful encounter is truly a passion of ours. Your Captain Ron really enjoys introducing the Manatees to your family. This encounter is one of the most sought after encounter in Florida, no matter what age you might be. Plus you dont need any experience, we can adapt to all skill levels.

Also keep inmind that both tour times are great for seeing manatees, the 8 AM or the 11:30 AM tours

Curious about Manatees? Let our Captains and Crew guide you to this breathtaking/spiritual wildlife encounter.

In the cooler months we provide warm blankets and hot chocolate for your ride back to the resort, this is a huge attraction for our guest after the swim. In the warmer months we have cold water on the boats, for a refreshing drink.

Keeping the groups small ( 6 Max per boat) allows us to have a better chance of more personal encounter.

Also keep in mind that Scallop season is just around the corner, July 1st - September 24th 2018, spend a couple of days with our crew enjoying the nature coast and the manatees.

Captain LACI is the BEST. I drive up to the area a few times a year to swim with the Manatees. This company together with Captain Laci are the best so far. to start off with the information they gave was fun so people listened. Instead of piling 6 people on a boat they had about 4 and sent out 4 boats at the same time. Capt Laci was attentive and kept her eye on the people on the water and also pointed them to the Manatees that were around. She was also quite knowledgeable. My trip had nasty windy weather but was still worth it. Not Capt Laci's decision. My only comment was I tried to opt for the next day but since I had a reservation they would not allow me to cancel or reschedule for a refund. Apparently unless there is thunder and lightening. NO Cancellations . Not Capt Laci's decision.

This encounter is one of the most sought after encounter in Florida, no matter what age you might be. Plus you dont need any experience, we can adapt to all skill levels. Weather, our tours go regardless of rain, we are going to get wet any ways, plus most of our showers tend to last only minutes not hours.

Keep in mind that if the captains says it fine to go , it is fine, because we are right there with you getting wet to. It is part of the adventure. Also we may not have had room for the next day and also keeping the reservations allows the captain to maintain there schedule. Last minute cancellations can result of a captain going home without pay, now you would'nt want that would you..lo Of coarse if the weather is unsafe, we will reschedule, refund of issue a raincheck

We went really late in the season so we weren’t sure what to expect. We only saw 2 manatees but one got close enough to let us rub it’s belly and rolled over for us. It was incredible. Our captain, laci, did an awesome job trying to find them for us. She was informative and it was a great boat ride in general. We saw the monkeys on monkey island, tons of birds, lots of other fish, and sea otters. Very enjoyable day.

Note, we do not promote touching of the manatees , AT ALL, however at times the manatees come over and touch you... If we promoted touching of manatees, this would be a petting ZOO, now we dont want that at all...

The top priority of the Snorkel With Manatees team was the respect and safety of all humans and animals. Our trip began with a video and presentation on how to safely interact with the manatees (Basically, don't chase them down. Quietly float and observe them and they may come to you.) It would appear that not all companies hold respectful interaction in such high regard. Other company showed up in the water after we did, they scared some of the Manatees away and almost ran over my husband with the boat.
After getting into the provided wet suits, we followed the Captains to the dock. Three boats took small groups of about 6 people each out to search for Manatees. We sailed for about 10-15 minutes before finding the Manatees. We were lucky enough to find a mother and calf. We spent the whole time watching them rest, come up for air, and swim a little. We witnessed the calf nurse. When it came up for air, it allowed us to pet it! Captain Ron was great about directing us from the boat on where to swim to see the manatees. He reminded us to get on either side of the manatees; if you swim behind their tails, they'll keep swimming away.
At the end of the trip, we were given hot chocolate to warm up from the chilly water. Overall, this is a memorable, unique, don't-miss-it experience!

We understand your concern about other boats being in the area, however that is when we are there to ensure everyone's safety.

Curious about Manatees? Let our Captains and Crew guide you to this breathtaking/spiritual wildlife encounter. Yes by approaching from the tail can lead to the manatee to swim away, this is where we help guide you without disturbing the manatee.
