If you are looking for an ocean getaway this is your spot. Its located right on the beach and within walking distance to beach bars. Hotel has pool bar and a lounge as well. We had an ocean front room and the view was spectacular. Shout out to Derek,Vicky and John for great friendly and helpful service. They could not have been nicer! The rest of the staff...a little stand offish overall to be honest but those three more than made up for it. Rooms are spacious well decorated and well equipped. Beds comfortable but bring your own pillows as the ones provided are the worst and they would do well to invest in better quality ones. We ate at Chloes the restaurant inside...large portions and market prices on many items were slightly high. The concensus from our group was that steak was by far the best option. We would stay again for sure..that beach location was the best!

We stayed at Diamondhead for 10 nights in April 2017 with our 16 and 18 year olds. It was great. The views are awesome from the lanai. Beach is beautiful. Lots of restaurants and bars down by the pier. PROS: location, view, clean, friendly staff. CONS: pull out not big enough for 2 teens - needed to go buy an air mattress.

Room Tip: gulf view - higher floor

Great overall experience, plan on returning next year. Updated room with great gulf views, locations convenient, many amenities within walking distance.

Only issue was hotel Wi-Fi, entirely unreliable.

Pros: Staff are welcome and so friendly. Our room view (9th floor looking at beach and pool) was very nice. Beach was clean. Location for walking to a convenient store of the square with shops is close. Close to marina (we rented a boat one day).

Cons: The suite is nice, but if you are traveling with women know that there is ONE mirror in the entire room. The bed is quite uncomfortable as is the couch in the living area. Budget in renting chairs (about 40 bucks a day for two people) if you want to lay out on the beach. Chairs/umbrella are not included. And, unfortunately, our cleaning service always was showing up around 5:30 which is about the time we were coming in and wanted to chill out for a bit.

We liked it here...didn't love it. Ft Meyers is a little too crowded for us...many many people from early day and night on the beach.

Room Tip: We had a pool view but if you can swing it, get a beachfront.

My husband, teen daughter and I stayed here for spring break. Things were quiet thankfully, it was far enough away from the pier. We enjoyed the gulf view room on the 10th floor. We did have a deluxe room with a cooktop, frig, microwave and dishwasher. the interior was clean and wonderful. We also loved the screened porch /balcony. We sat on the beach each day. You do have to pay for the beach chairs/umbrellas daily, but was worth it for the comfort, was $40/day, provided by a separate company. Budget that in. Or you could buy beach chairs at walmart. The property staff was very helpful and i don't have any negative comments!

Room Tip: we chose gulf view, which doesn't look at pool, but up the beach toward the pier. Beautiful sunset.
