Great space near lots of great shops and bars/restaurants. Space was very clean and owners very responsive to anything you might need. Plenty of nice bath towels, beach towels, linens. Beach chairs and cooler available under the stairs. The straits up to the 2nd floor were a bit tough for anyone elderly - especially the top step, which is a big one. Can see ocean only from large bedroom? Couch/futon very comfy to sleep on. Overall, very happy with the place and would definitely return.

Room tip: Close to beach

After our stay last year, we decided to come back! We had a room above The Beach Pub right on the beach and it was perfect! Don't ever worry about staying above the pub because it becomes very quiet after 8:30 and they close early. Never had a reason to complain about noise and we were there during the college spring break. I can't say enough about the staff. They are all lovely. Vicki at the front desk/store, Lisa who cleaned our room, Scott and his wife Jackie are always around and super helpful. I have already booked my trip for next year and can't wait to go back!

Located a few steps from our Resort, you can find all the things you forgot to bring or something new that you just have to have. I would have liked to check out their rooms but they were all in use. From the outside the Inn looks intriguing and one day I would like to check them out.

We had the sea view suite. 2br 1 ba, upstairs over the gift shop. The owners were great! Just a couple days stay here for a nice break. There are 2 buildings behind this one, and then beach. And yes, a nice beach view from the master bedroom. Beds were firm (I like :)), pretty, comfortable linens, cute well stocked kitchen. Slightly noisy window units, but they worked very well. Livingroom futons - well, I am glad I didn;t have to sleep on one. Overall a nice place for the money. We got a good deal. Next door to hooters and walk to many places to eat. Pet friendly.

My sister & I decided to book a week when the owner Scott offered the 2 bedroom apartment for $150 a night. The rate for that apartment goes for about $295 according to the rates published on the back of the front door. This place is a comfy and clean. You have to overlook the surrounding buildings because you feel like your in a junkyard. The saving grace is the bit of ocean you can see from the master bedroom. We had a few situations:
1. Futons needs to replaced. One even has a broken wooden slat. That made us have to put the mattress on the floor.
2. The dining area fan lights didn't work. For us it wasn't a big deal since the kitchen light was enough & we didn't eat dinner there.
3. The 2nd bedroom has a blind that doesn't work since it doesn't have the stick to open & close the blinds.
4. The air conditioners are very loud. Bring earplugs to sleep.
5. The bathroom has no AC so you feel like you're in a sauna.
6. The outside light never worked. Even after being told that it was motion sensored. My husband banged his head the first time because of where it is placed is very low.
7. The stairs are very steep and awkward.
8. You really need to supply your own paper goods. Although the staff did provide us 1 extra roll of toilet paper & 2 white kitchen garbage bags to start us off with.
9. Towels can be changed out, but not more than 1x a day. We had a situation where we needed more than 1 towel change and the older lady in the office told my mom that they didn't ordinarily do that and did not change out the towels. That was disappointing.
10. The cleaning lady Lisa is very nice & tries her best to make sure clients are happy.
11. You do your own cleaning. This is not a place where they come & make your beds & clean your room.
12. The check out request of having all linens in the baskets by the door is inappropriate. That is why we pay the rates given.
14. Parking is a nightmare. You are only allowed 1 parking space. The other car we had to park across the street and with all the construction you have to walk 2 blocks one way to get there.
Overall I am giving this place a 3 out of 5. If you can bypass all the little things you will enjoy yourself & spend time at the beach. Good luck. The staff Scott, Julie, Vickie, Nancy, Megan, and Lisa are good people.
