“Clean and new”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

The location is not close to restaurants but the hotel is newer and clean. The staff is very nice and is helpful for recommendations. Not too far from the airport.

Stayed 4 nights february 2012 for $380 for a king size bed with a fold out coach. Booked via Hotwire. The hotel is really isolated, and there is nothing close by. The building and rooms seems really new, and very nice generally. Nice pool area and gym. The complementary breakfast was not very interesting (bread, yoghurt, juice, fruit) but the staff didn't seem up to the task. The buffet was frequently empty and you had to ask for plates, utensils, bread several times, every day. We had a room with a fold out coach which we used, and we wondered why the cleaning only folded it halfway after making up the room. We were told it was probably just their policy. Oveall a nice hotel, but the service seemed to lack behind the ambition

This is not a typical Hyatt, when you think of a Hyatt. This is more like a "holiday inn express" "courtyard by marriott" type of hotel. It is on the I-75, ext 136 - 138 corrider in Ft. Myers. This hotel, the Hyatt Place at the Forum was the nicest of this type of hotel that I have personally stayed in this area. We were there for just one night for a business function and I was really impressed.

The standard rooms are very spacious, with a large living area, desk / workstation, mini-fridge, coffee maker, extra sink etc. There is a partial privacy wall that separates the living area from the sleeping area. We had a very comfortable king-size bed with ample pillows and higher grade bedding. Very, very large flat screen television pivoted so that it had good view from bed or living area.

Bathroom is small and unfortunately the towels seemed a little cheap compared to the rest of the room amenities and design, but that was ok.

We had a first floor. In hindsight, I wish I had booked 2nd floor or higher. I had to keep the curtains shut to maintain privacy from the parking lot.

The continental breakfast is very basic - bagels, muffins, juice and fruit, but they have a counter where you can buy heartier meal as well. Complimentary coffee was very good. Hotel has a little bar and patio for cocktails or appetizers. The service at these counters and the front desk was very pleasant and everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and efficient.

Work out facilities weren't bad. There's even a nice size conference room for small meetings. Good choice for the business traveler. We checked out on a Saturday morning and noticed there were lots of families who were heading out for a wedding. That said, I would say it's popular for out-of-towners who are there for a special events as well.

Great hotel. Good value. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Book second floor or higher.

Got room for $60 on Priceline's name your own price.

Fees: Hotel holds $10 to your credit card for incidentals. If you don't use anything, it comes off. Free Parking. Free Wifi in your room. Has a pool. Nice Bar & Coffee shop in lobby. Comfortable seating.

Room: Sectional Sofa w/ottoman. Mini Fridge with under cupboard storage and granite prep table on top of fridge. Desk & Chair adjacent from Nook area. wall separator for beds. two queen beds with five comfy pillows and white sheets & blankets. Plasma TV i would guess 40 inches with sleep timer, after you turn it on, you need to hit channel up button for it to work, the tv doesn't flip channels fast, you have to connect to the channel black screen, then the show... I wasn't there for the TV so it was ok, but just so you know. shower and toilet separate has a door. sink has long granite counter top, with three drawers under for your clothes. top drawer has normal household blow dryer. full length mirror opens up to a closet.

Nice place.

What's around: a gas station, if you take the back entrance up 1 mile you come to the shops of forum, there it is all brand new stores..target, best buy, staples, starbucks, buffallo wild wings and a lot other places.

Overall..would stay again.

downfall: not close to the beach.

Room Tip: i stayed on fourth floor...didn't hear anything all night, and hotel was full.

This is a difficult review to write. This is a new hotel and the rooms are spacious, quiet and very clean. We stayed here 5 nights, so we got a close look at everything. The housekeeping service for the room was excellent. I requested a non-slip mat for the shower and one was delivered immediately. The common areas, other than the lobby did not appear to be vacuumed very often. The elevators were not vacuumed during our entire stay. The fitness center was well equipped with fairly high level machines and free weights. The breakfasts were a hit or miss proposition. No one ever seemed to check the overall cleanliness of the dining area during the serving time and it was pretty bad, even early. We found spoons in the holder with oatmeal on them and they weren't serving oatmeal that morning. Having stayed at other Hyatts, this was a disappointment. If you go there and are using a navigation system, you'll probably need to Google the address of the service station in front of the Hyatt on SR 82. None of the road network around the hotel is in most systems.
