Love this hotel. I have stayed many times. Great area and on a nice beach with restaurants and shops beside it. But..I have noticed a hussle at the spas at several Ritz Carlton spas. I went in for a facial for $200 and came out to pay and it was $550 plus tip! This is the 3rd time this has happend to me at a Ritz carlton spa. This time I saw red! During the facial the lady asks me if I want eye cream..i said sure (i mean, its a facial) ..she said would you like the lip cream? I said...sure..(i mean its a facial right)...well those are called add ons and cost a stupid amount.
I paid ...then walked out feeling hussled and called general manager and told him I was just hussled and held for hostage in his spa! HE TOOK THE ADD ONS OFF. SO, beware at the Ritz Carltons spas, they all seem to be doing it. After talking to a spa owner friend in NYC he said that this is the biggest hussle going in spas now is facials. So, pick YOUR facial or service. DO Not let them pick it for you. (THEY CALL IS CUSTOMIZE) and say NO add ons whatsoever.

Great Location and view, Impeccable Service, the most comfortable rooms, Great food, especially the Sunday brunch with unlimited mimosas. The best pool service with ice water and snacks at regular intervals during the day. Highly recommended.

This hotel is well located in Fort Lauderdale on/near the beach. There is a walk-way over the road directly to the beach and when I was there it seemed very quiet most of the day, although some travelers may find the beach to close to the road, especially if they are traveling with small children.

The hotel itself is fantastic with that perfect balance of Ritz Carlton service and comfort. I was in a suite with separate living and sleeping areas -- both were extremely comfortable. The bathroom is the expected over-the-top standard for the Ritz, with his and her sinks.

Food in the hotel was good to excellent.

This hotel is a combo hotel and residence -- and I have found that the amenities in these properties seem to be slightly better than stand alone hotels.

Another wonderful stay at the Ritz!

I lived in South Florida for 13 years and didn't know about this place. Amazing location, incredible amenities, beautiful rooms and great staff.
Everyone goes out of their way to accomodate. Here you are in one of the busiest areas on the beach and you can pop out onto the beach from a private elevator or hang out insulated from the hustle and bustle by the magnificent pool eating, drinking, lounging, or swinmming.

Really....it's a bargain.

Great hotel, great food, great location, great service, and great spa... Seriously.

My spa day here on Sunday was excellent. My facialist, Sonia, was excellent. Gentlest, yet most effective extractions in a long while. She took extra classes in Spain to perfect her technique. My massage therapist, Kisha, also was amazing. She even gave me some biofreeze to take home and some instructions to follow to help my neck and back feel better. She totally sold me on getting my future massages from women. Honestly, I've only ever experienced good spa days at Ritz resorts, and this day was no exception.

Why 4 stars instead of 5? No sauna or steam room! Very disappointing! The Ritz bought this property from St. Regis and has yet to add the sauna and steam, despite saying they will. It don't feel a spa is totally legit without these features, no matter how great the treatments. The spa staff are wonderful, however, and I DID enjoy the shower with multiple jets spraying from FOUR directions... very nice!!!

If you don't mind the lack of sauna and steam, you'll love it here! Check it out :-)
