Although the steak was very good, for the price, you can do much better. Beautiful restaurant & bar, decent service but food presentation is somewhat weak. Nice wine list but overall, as far as high end restaurants/steakhouses are concerned, Shula's is in the middle of the pack.

“Overall good”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

I was staying at the Westin otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it. Their specialty is steak, and I had the Steak Mary Anne (not sure if I'm remembering the name right), which was one of their specialties. This was unfortunate because the quality of the meat seemed good, and it was cooked well, but the pepper sauce was a bit tired and too sticky sweet. I think one of their steaks by itself would have been better. Had two wines by the glass, a red and a white, and both were very good. Service was good. You can probably do better, but overall it was pretty good for an in-hotel restaurant.

“Anniverary Dinner”
Reviewed 24 May 2012

We went to Shula's for our anniversary. We enjoy good food. I had a filet and it was dry and not very good. My husband had the Mary Jane Steak and it was ok at best. The sauce over it tasted like it was out of a jar. We shared a baked potato that was overcooked and the mushrooms were very bland. We were excited about going there but we will never go again. Service was only ok. We spent almost 200.00 and Outback has better steaks by a landslide. The lobster Bisque was good though.

You MUST try the crab macaronni and prime rib. Service was excellent. The weather was perfect for eating out by the ocean.
